It looked like to me the context of aspiring to average is offense wise and I'd say he is already average on offense and well above on D even if he did mean that or his over all game.

I loved the pick and saw him as a guy who could contribute immediately. I never figured him as a starter, unless at PF and then not really stater's minutes.

I haven't changed my opinion of him, and that he's starting says a lot about why you guys blew us out. Our players aren't very good, except for a couple of guys who are maybe top 15 at their position.

    A funny tweet about Oden:

@jeskeets Greg Oden is developing an offensive game. This is the moment in Jurassic Park when they realize the raptors are breeding

I'd trade Noah for Oden straight up and tank (even more) the rest of the season. Noah's at his upside, basically, while Oden is still young and has huge upside.

Noah won't push us over the edge for a ring. Oden will. I'll be patient and gamble on it. I don't think Noah on this Blazers team does much in the long term. He'll contribute, get numbers but Oden is a game changer that can get a team into championship contention if healthy...this is why we drafted him.

LOL, I'm sure you would. We know it's about more than this season.

I'm sure you'd also trade Ty Thomas for LaMarcus Aldridge.:devilwink:

Actually, I WOULD trade for Aldridge, but I don't think the Bulls would. They'd rather let Thomas walk for nothing and gain cap space to use on a FA - a FA they'd hope would be better than Aldridge (a TOP TIER one).

I thought you guys might enjoy this.

Noah is outplaying Bynum and the Lakers are only up 3 in Q3 at Chicago.

    Noah is 4-11, 11 boards, 2 assists, 6 blocked shots, 10 points
    Bynum is 4-8, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 0 blocked shots, 8 points

    :sigh:

Noah may not be "better" than Oden, but he is certainly more valuable.

I don't think that he is. They Bulls lose with Noah. If they had Oden, they'd win when he was healthy and lose when he was hurt.

So, if you could clone the Blazer roster, everything being identical except that one version has Noah for 82 games, and the other has Oden for 20 games, which one wins more games?
