While true, it's those few who wish injuries on players they don't like, and those who want the team to lose so they can be "right" about McMillan, that tend to stand out to me. Negative vibes, you know?

I took most of the cracks people said about players getting hurt to be a joke. That is the problem with text. You sometimes can't tell if people are serious or not. As for Nate and the coaching, I don't think folks want to see him fail, I see more lamentation from folks about him not learning from his mistakes, and repeating those mistakes. Most folks can only take so much of that before they write a person off as being hopeless.

I'll spell it out for you since you aren't keen on reading what someone wrote, rather you impute things that aren't there. Firstly, I didn't say anything about losing faith, just perspective.

I don't have any problems with Nik and in fact I've agreed with a lot of his posts. He's articulate, seems smart and get's it. But last year was 'magical'? Are you joking? We had no injuries last year and arguably over achieved. We led the league in come back wins, which always suggested to me the team wasn't great, but were able to come back on teams who relaxed or took us lightly. But to hold last year up as a shining example of greatness after blowing home court in the first round doesn't strike me as magical. I've been a Blazers fan for over 35 years and last year was hardly magical. In fact, at best, it met the standards set by the 1980's Blazers. Win 50 games and go out in the first round. Usually to the L*kers. You may as well miss the play offs and make the lottery so you can get a better draft pick.

I'm ok with complaining about the incredible injuries this year and what I see as poor coaching/managing of the team. There's no lost perspective in that. Calling last year magical because we're having hard times this year is silly. Just my opinion. If you don't like it feel free call me directly at 1-800-EAT-SHIT.
