Player of the game? Joel. +27 +/- usually has little to offer in one game samples, but I think this one was pretty clear. They attacked like hell everytime Joel went out of the game. Both of their double digit runs came when Joel was out. Both our comebacks, start of the 3rd and start of the 4th, were because Joel was in the game.
Joel really (literally) took charge tonight. IMO, without his typical unsung contributions, this would have been a big L.
That had more to do with Miller not being on the floor at the end. It doesn't mean we wouldn't have done as well even perhaps better if Miller was on the floor. You know they both are on the same team so it'd be nice to see both do well.
Nice win against a much improved Kings team. Postives: Jerryd getting run in crunch time and producing Martell back from the dead and finally hitting some shots Blake coming off the bench and actually being productive in his sweet spot for minutes LMA beasting through a bum ankle Joel absolutely saving our ass defensively. Very happy with what I saw tonight.
They do, on the IL. Keep in mind how well Sac is playing without Kevin Martin and Francisco Garcia, their 2 best players. Which brings up Ime Udoka. He'll be getting waived when one of them comes off the list next month. Do we sign him?
Depends on what kind of trades (or not) get made. But if we aren't completely overloaded with wings at that time then yeah, I'd pick him up.
Without Joel we would have lost by exactly 27 points. I'm fairly certain of that. If you want to play team ball, +/- is the most telling stat available.
Great win, still would have liked to see Miller play in 4th quarter crunch over Blake, but atleast Bayless finally got the minutes he rightfully deserves.
Leaving Blake in there at the end was the right decision. Got to have someone who can fire three's. Bayless is better at getting to the line than Miller anyways.
