they want a star to play along side monta ellis. what are we going to do, convince them Blake and Travis are breakout years from making the all star team?

it would have to be in a 3 way deal, with a team stupid enough to send a star to GS and take blake, travis and change from GS in return.

also: do we want Randolph? it would obviously be a long term move, and we would essentially be giving up on Nic.

    Indeed.

As long as Nelson it at the helm, neither Randolph nor Wright appear to be part of the Warriors' plans. This could be a chance to "buy low".

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Wonder if Caron Butler would count as a star? Washington might be looking to save cash.

I don't know that it means that. I could envision Randolph getting minutes at both small forward and power forward, which would allow him, Batum and Aldridge to all get 30+ minutes.

Basically, if the Blazers have to give up a lot, then it doesn't make a lot of sense. If the Warriors can be fleeced, might as well inquire. Randolph has some serious upside.

Randolph doesn't deserve to go from a clueless asshole coach who doesn't play him as much as he should to a coach whose gameplan doesn't play to any of his strengths.

In short, Randolph is going to be a good player somewhere but he won't be here.

I know Bell doesn't want to be there either. What if we could get him in a package, and have him play some SF?

You know considering the direction of their franchise, I am not so sure their definition of "star" isn't similar to our definition of "junk". If you catch my meaning.... :evilfire:

I'm pretty sure Bell is out for the season. In Charlotte, he was playing through a wrist injury, but since he didn't want to play for the Warriors, he opted to get surgery on it.

Yea I think you might be right. I wonder if it is one of those things though where he is "injured" as long as he is on the warriors, but if traded, he would make a miraculous recovery.

Why would any team trade a star for Anthony Randolph, who someday MIGHT be a star?

He's not a productive, underpaid player who might blossom. He's a so-so young player with a lot of potential.

As part of a package for a star? Yeah. As the main piece for one? I don't see it.

By the way, what the hell happened to the Warriors?

I loved watching them in the 2007 playoffs with Davis, Jackson, Richardson, and Barnes knocking down threes right and left. They were fun to watch and they were winning. Why did Don Nelson get rid of all of them?

So explain to me why that trade makes even an ounce of sense for Golden State?

Golden State has a long long history of making stupid trades. Why not make another one?
