    ...would they have taken Greg Oden or Kevin Durant?

    That's what I thought.

    They were so angry we "lucked" into Oden, it wasn't even funny.

    /justification

    And what if Orlando had gotten the first pick in the draft?

    What's your point?

    He's saying Oden was the right choice, and that the Celtics got robbed of the #1 pick and would have taken him, too.

    :lol:

    I was watching Durant play tonight and was feeling a bit melancholy about the whole Oden vs. Durant debate. I then thought back to when we got that first pick and how many, many Boston fans were lamenting that fact. Then, when the Blazers chose Oden, they started up again.

    No biggie, simply frivolous banter on an off night. Hey, I could have started a thread about being threatened.

    i watched the game, too. all it made me think is if oden had been healthy the past two years nobody would be questioning what the right choice was. not even close.

    Heh, heh.

    Braves = #1

    Cubs = #2

    Anyone playing the Phillies/Mets = #3

    Good man ABM. I'm a Braves fan too. Although that has been a painful experience as well. At least there was '95!

    naw, Celtics wanted Oden, and he was the right pick at the time IMO, but revisioinist history says he wasn't as he can't stay on the court.

    realistically it's a knee jerk reaction because if he gets healthy he'll be a good pro.

    ppl gotta wait AT LEAST 5 years before reviewing a draft IMO. Otherwise you'll get ppl saying things like Steve Francis is a sure lock HOF'er after 2-3 years of play ;)

    Orlando already have a center, so the Durant pick would have been the best choice. Also, Orlando didn't have a chance at the pick as well. I bet you NO would have picked Oden, then traded Chandler away.
