He's trying to catch the state on the rebound.

OK, OK, I had to say it.

Yep I bet that the cheating on his wife will go over real well in the campaign......at least if whoever he is running against has their shit together.

Be interesting to hear what his platform is. Hard to see how he has even a prayer of getting elected, but maybe I'll be surprised.

I can say right now, I will not be voting for him. He is against raising taxes on business and campaigning on "it's a good thing I haven't been in politics the last 30 years" which to me is a slap in the face of both parties that know the system. What does a guy that made his fortune because he's 7' tall know about economics other than "TAXES BAD! MONEY GOOD!" At least he's been involved a bunch of charities though.

I hope Duds has a strong platform, and I wish him well. It's neat how he's moved back to Portland (Oregon) and wants to be involved in our political system.

    Possible campaign slogans for Duds:

"Chris Dudley: He's not quite as inappropriate as Bill Sizemore."

"Chris Dudley: He's got more size than Sizemore."

"Chris Dudley: Size matters. Sizemore doesn't."

    How about...

Vote for Chris Dudley. He's nicer than Hitler. But just a tad.

Seriously, that's the best I can say about his "qualifications".

His platform is one of hate and greed and racism.

Best known for once missing 17 of 18 free throws. League record I believe.

Are you of the opinion that what the State of Oregon needs is another Governor who has spent their live in government? I think I'd prefer someone who understands how difficult it is to do business in this State. I'm not saying that's Duds, but the last thing I want is someone who sees the solution to every problem as more government.

As for understanding economics, he did graduate with a 3.3 from Yale with a concentration in Economics. So, while he may not be Milton Friedman, my guess is he understands what a Dead Weight Loss is.

I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND that the two states are very different, but Texas is led by republicans, and has a surplus of money and a ballanced budget. Maybe a change to someone who understands economics wouldn't be a bad thing?

Neither party owns the patent on economic sensibility. As while I understand that the two states are very different, California is headed by a republican, and has no money and a huge hole in their budget. Maybe a change to someone who understands economics wouldn't be a bad thing.

I couldn't agree more. I think California's leadership is far too liberal.
