Wow, I've been hearing the rumours, but I never thought it would ever happen. Should be interesting to see what the Saints do with the number 2. They probably will try and trade down and get some nice extra picks in return.
This is a great move by the Texans. They don't need a runningback, look around the league, you don't need a 5-star runningback to win championships and they already have a young 1,000 yard back in Domanick Davis. They have Davis so adding Bush would mean adding $40 million to the same position they have Davis locked in for $25 million. You win games at the line of scrimmage and thats been what has killed the Texans over the years, they still have no offensive or defensive line but adding Mario Williams gives them a Julius Peppers tpye player adding him with 2 year Travis Johnson makes this line much better. I'm glad the Texans went away from the media and fans favorite pick and are going with someone who will start and give them a huge lift on defense.
If they were going to get Mario, they definitely should've traded down. That's just bad management. :no3:

Mario is a mother f*cking beast. But still its a mistake not to take the best player in the draft, Reggie Bush.
Exactly right BCB, they couldn't trade out of the top 4 or 5, or else Mario Williams would be gone. Williams fills a much bigger need than Bush does, and Williams is quite possibly the most talented in the draft. He is a beast, and i believe will become the next big lineman in the league like a Reggie White or Bruce Smith. Williams will help the Texans be able to put pressure on the quarterbacks, something they haven't been able to do since becoming a pro team, and cause the quarterbacks to make bad reads and throws. This was a very good move by the Texans in my eyes.

I don't get how some of you guys say the Texans are idiots for not drafting Reggie Bush. Sure, Bush was amazing in college but that translate to the NFL? Will he be an every down back? Will he be able to make those amazing cuts and moves against quicker, stronger and smarter athletes in the NFL? Thats good for them, He is the only dude I would pick over Vince Young and Im a huge Texas Longhorns fan. But Mario stock went up casue he was doing so well with the scout and stuff like that.
