Pretty good for me, overall. However, I'm an optimist; I tend to see the good in most things. Professionally, it was tough, but I've learned a lot that will serve me well in the future. I have a lot of friends of mine who lost their jobs and probably their careers. Our firm has had to let some people go, which is always tough. In that sense, there's been a lot of heartbreak on a professional level. Personally, watching my son grow from a baby to a toddler was pretty kickass. My relationship with my wife--as a result of our child--has deepened, which is great. I don't like the direction of the country, but I think we're learning a tough lesson. I expect to see a turnaround in the coming year. It's been fun working on the complete renovation of our home in Denver, but I've missed being in Portland. But anything that is wrong in my life is more than offset by what's right. I'm a lucky guy.
good to know your analysis of an entire year can be boiled down to a never-even-funny Family Guy quote
pretty good year.. the last couple months have been depressing for me with all the injuries to the Blazers and the recent RHCP new hit me hard. But good 10.5 months IMO.
