That was the worst performance by a starting PF in the history of our franchise.

It wasn't a start, but on 2/1/2005, Zach Randolph played 29 minutes, went 0-12 from the field, had 3 reb, 0 ast, 0 stl, 0 blk, 0 pts and shot 0 FTs. If it wasn't for the 3 reb (and 12 missed FGs), his entire stat line would have been zeros. That's about the least impact you can have in 29 minutes on the floor.

He IS playing hurt, sometimes we forget that. How much pain is he in? He said the other night after the Sacramento game that he has to take "lots of Advil and Ibuprofen" (apparently he's not aware that they are the SAME thing) to play. And that he doesn't want to leave Brandon out there by himself or he probably wouldn't be playing.

I saw him limping back on defense pretty bad at one point tonight.

Aldridge is just a poor rebounder, inside scorer and post defender. He makes up for it with his medium range ump shot and turnaround jumper. He is also a very fast player and can score on the fast break. Which is surprising as we don't play more of an uptempo game. The reason for this is Roy is more effective in the half court whihc is the reason why Roy and Aldridge will never work together. Roy needs more of a Boozer, Milsap type.

Hey, look on the bright side, after standing around for 30 minutes he should be well rested for the second of the back to back.

There is a precedent for your theory. Think back to LA's stinker at Cleveland last Friday (at least defensively and on the boards - letting Verejao run a lay-up drill) He came out the next night at Milwaukee and his his best game of the season 31/11.

I think he's playing hurt right now and should be judged accordingly, however.

I agree, and he was hung out to dry on the perimeter quite a bit covering guards on defense, so he wasn't exactly well positioned for rebounds, and his own guards did pretty much nothing to get him going.

C'est la vie' He's had some really nice games in the past couple of weeks and I suppose you can't get too down on him, but damn ...

LA is playing on a very bum ankle. I suspect that were it not for the already depleted ranks, he'd not be playing. He's in a tough spot and doing the best he can.

Did he hurt his ankle doing the same thing many Portland fans did?

Landing awkwardly, after jumping off his (and the teams) bandwagon half a dozen times in the last week?

Bullcrap. People whine about LMA's rebounding? Have they watched Randolph play?

    :rolleyes2:

I guess I should stop trying to be funny.

But Randolph is actually a pretty decent rebounder on a per minute basis, his 16.4 rebound rate trumps LMA's 13.4

He's being s-a-r-c-a-s-t-i-c about trading LMA for Randolph even while pointing out that Randolph has a rebounding advantage over LMA.

Too late, Criminal Boy. Papa, you want I should call our lawyer in the morning, or wake him up now? "The Neck" doesn't like it when I wake him up. I'll get him while you goad this sucker along. How much money has our partnership made so far?

Nah, that would make too much sense.
