I would just like you all to know that we were hit with a "huge" snow storm in Virginia. Thank you for reading.
Yeah, we got pretty owned. It's only around 8" give-or-take but humans get retarded when cocaine falls out of the sky.
I know! Or when people walk in the middle of Route 7 (one of our main highways) because it's obviously safe to walk on highways when it's covered with ice and cars are going 10 mph slower.
LOL! I've never quite seen that here, but I don't usually drive all that much when we get lots of snow (which is rare in itself). Unfortunately, we have some stupid people in this country.
I thought Portland would get a lot of snow, for some reason. Yeah, I've seem some funny shit the past couple of days. People think that driving laws are completely thrown out the window once it snows. "I'm just gonna part in the middle of the road, seeing as it's snowing."
Being that I work in the airport, yesterday was hell. Gotta do it all over again later today. But I like snow though.
We had hundreds coming over from NY airports, ticketing was a mess. Then we canceled all morning flights.
My friend was in NY Friday. He got on a plane early morning for PDX. I figured the snow would have affected his trip, but I guess not. Snow is fun, last year we had like 2 ft. here in Portland. It was insane because we never have that, but after a couple days it got old. Especially if you need to get places. I was out of cigarettes the first day, so I had to walk like a mile to a 7/11... it sucked. If it is going to snow, I'm stocking up.
some had paid $400+ for cab to come at our airport. (about 3 hr drive) its really sad though, families going vacation etc and then they're stuck due to weather. then they're pissed that we won't pay for accommodations because its not our fault. (blame nature lol)
Damn, that's crazy. Lucky they clear the main roads in a matter of hours, so it isn't too bad to commute after you get off of the side roads.
pretty much everyone, even though they know its weather. felt bad for the people going on cruises, one guy said if he doesn't make it, he losses the tickets (well over $6,000), non-refundable.
We got a lot last night. I had to drive 20 miles to work this morning at 5:30 with my RWD car. Fun times.
Yep, same as me. I had to wake up at around 5:30 and drove to work in my Ford Explorer. Nothing better than sliding on empty roads. What time are you off work (I'm trying to 1UP you)?
