Zach's problem has never been filling the stat sheet. He's one of the most talented low post players in the league.

Yup. His problem is that he's never been on a good team.

Yep, every team he's been on sucked. Some didn't before he arrived.

part of it was because he was a black hole and the focal point of bad teams. Not a #1 on a good team but for sure a great #2 on a good team is what he would/should be.

Those teams didn't have any other options for the most part. He was a black hole because he simply needed to be one. No one else on those teams could really put up points. Hence, they were terrible TEAMs.

I'm not saying he wasnt the best player/scorer on those teams. My point is he isnt gonna be a main scorer on a good team. If so I'm sure many of the good teams would have killed to just give the Clippers a second rounder for him at the time.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Randolph is a very bad passer and defender. He's a very good scorer and rebounder. There's no "not a winner" magic needed to explain why he's not one of the most valued players in the game...there are obvious explanations related to basketball. He has major strengths and major weaknesses. If he was a good passer and defender, he'd be a superstar.

Randolph played, as a starter, on a Portland team with virtually no talent around him, a Knicks team with virtually no talent around him, a Clippers with very little talent around him and now a Memphis team with very little proven talent around him. Again, no "loser" magic needed to explain the records of the teams he's been on...logic is all that's necessary.

I think he's a tough player to build around, since the guy you give the ball to the most needs to be able to pass the ball to exploit the defensive attention he draws, but he'd be a perfectly fine secondary or tertiary player.
