The game threads here suck now. You're usually not around for them, but blaming "BLANKY" for everything in a game thread got old for some of us.
i didnt even know i had comcast! im house sitting lol at my cousins and they have verizon fios...learned when the game was over that they have comcast thats 2 games i missed that i could've watched
I can't speak for everyone, but some of us have grown tired of the negativity and self-absorbed, attention seeking, drama queens that post here. I prefer to watch, or listen to the games in peace without enduring all the stupidity. I haven't, however, given up on the team. I took my youngest daughter to the Sacramento game on Tuesday, had tickets to the Phoenix game on Thursday but had to give them to a friend due to a schedule conflict, and will be taking all three kids to the 76ers game on the 28th. I prefer to spend my energy attending the games and cheering for the team, rather than waste it reading the rants of the forum divas that post in the game threads. BNM
Wrong. Wins always produce fewer posts than losses do. The posting community is never so happy than when we're bitching about how much smarter we are than the coach and GM. As for me, the only person who is with the team I know I'm smarter than is the video coordinator.
Posters who generally make a lot of game thread posts like me, Kingspeed, PHXBlazer1, NateBishop, etc (quite a few regulars, actually) didn't participate in this thread. I watched the game with my family, rather than the forum 'cause I'm back in PDX. Not sure about the others.
Blazers win despite McMuffin and BLANKY! I think that would make a good TV show, band name or cereal. "BLANKY & the McMuffin"
It's tough on a Sunday afternoon just before Christmas to watch the game and do the game thread. Lots of things to do. Or in my case, ripping money off my friends playing poker! But I was still watching it in the background. Great finish by the Blazers. And it was good to see Andre and Brandon on the floor together putting the game away. A very solid win. We needed it, and a split in the Dallas/SA back to back would be nice.
I like the occasional McMuffin, but I'm a bit nonplussed by the somewhat random substitutions I'm confronted with when I order it. It seems like there should be a more logical, orderly process for preparing them.
Good job Portland! Good to see our two stars play well! Good to see our starters in general kick ass... bench needs to pick it up now. GOOOOOOOOOO Blazers!
I watch every game, it's just difficult for me to find meaningful commentary in here now. I just feel overwhelmed by so many posts by people that I can't have a satisfying debate with. I dislike the hyperbolic, panicky, unrelenting, political style of some posters who I suspect believe they will be read by someone at One Center Court, so "let's turn up the anger and start calling them names!", so I feel like commenting would be a big waste of time. I like difference of opinion, but I prefer a little give and take and a little "I see where you're coming from". I don't mind being told I'm wrong, but I want to feel like maybe the posters I'm talking to are talking to me, and not talking at any possible silent viewership.
Looks like the team is adjusting to the short roster. That was a huge win... like many wins we saw last year. Lets hope for a little roll.
Yes . . . needed that game. Roy starting to do it game in and game out. I was a little rough on him in the early part of the year, but it looks like he is playing hard, grinding it out on the court (with less complaining) and just doesn't feel like the frustrated or prima donna attitude anymore (win or lose). But more importantly, I thought that was Miller's best game for the Blazers so far. He was another scoring option without taking away from Brandon. I think he actaully played well with Roy last night. Still don't like having him set up on the three point line when Roy is in iso mode . . . but I hope as the season goes on, Miller learns other places he can recieve the ball from Roy. Once he learns where he is likely to get the ball if Roy needs help, he can drive or pass and keep that ball moving. I really like what I saw from Miller last night.
Brandon's shot is back. This was the main cause of his slump earlier this season. He abused Wade/Richardson and Pietrus was his bitch.
