Blake and Miller both have regressed a lot this year. Neither one "deserves" anything based off their play.
Damn right he's not! THIS is The Answer
Actually I'm a Utah fan, but we'll ignore this moment of ignorance. The point is that Hedo is a guy that brings teams together, everywhere he has gone, he has been a good team player. Hedo does a little bit of everything, while shooting great from 3pt land & the charity stripe. Those are qualities that help you win close games or close games out. You can't deny a SF that can handle the ball, shoot, and finish games would not help Portland. Not only does Hedo compliment Portland's starters, but Hedo brings in a leadership and coolness that would help a younger team. I find it hard to believe fans that say they are happier with Andre Miller than Hedo when the fact is Miller has been a far bigger bust while Hedo stats may be down, but he's helping Toronto's offense blend with all the offensive weapons they have there.
Turkoglu sucks. He wouldn't help this team a bit. Small forward is not where this team needs help. The position we need help at is backup power forward. We almost had Millsap, but we blew it by not offering enough money.
As a PG, he is ruining his trade value. That said, he played the 3rd scorer role very well tonight. Since that's what he's suited for right now, I have no problems with how Miller played tonight. Roy doubled his assists, buth that's fine with me, since Roy is 4x the player Miller is with the ball in his hands.
Did you not create the title of this thread? Pay attention. You even included your "expert" opinion: First of all I love how you think Miller doesn't even care which you probably base off some gut feeling, and ignore that the team is 10-3 when Miller starts. This is getting sad, and yes......predictable.
The team has the highest win% with Steve Blake on the floor (yes, I noticed your stupid signature). What's your point? Miller is not the distributing PG I thought the Blazers were getting after signing him. That's my point. I am somewhat happy that Miller is on the team now, however, and that he and Bayless can try to make up the offensive slack right now. Was that ... predictable?
Then explain why Steve Blake was pulled from the starting PG spot...twice. Explain why he has a PER under 10. Then explain why neither impact his win%. I'll be waiting for this. My point? The team is better when Miller starts(proven by W/L record), yet you say he's not the answer, and proceed to give your "expert" opinion that Miller doesn't care which you base off nothing. Could have fooled me by the title of this thread and your OP
I don't know if Miller cares. I don't care whether Miller cares, really. All I care about is whether Miller helps the team win. So far, he hasn't helped as much as I had thought, but then I also don't think he's been given the proper opportunity to do what he does best. That said, he's still been helping the team win.
As long as he sets a tempo that everyone else can follow, even if hes not flashy or has highlights at least he sets a tone for the other guys to follow and score from. Sure he attacks the basket sometimes and other times he hangs back at the point but if its working then our chances are to win games is better for the whole team in the long run.
I don't mind if Andre doesn't mind. 'Cause I don't shine if Andre doesn't shine. Put your back on me. Put your back on me. Put your back on me. Woooo. Ed O.
I am the resurrection and I am the light I couldn't ever bring myself to hate you as I'd like -The Stone Roses, singing Andre Miller's perspective (though 10 years before Miller entered the league)
