Both have been rehashed in multiple threads, but here's Ford's take. And on the "interesting at least to me" front:
Quick trade checker shows that we can send Blake, Outlaw, Howard and one of the rookie 2nd-rounders for Murphy, McBob and Luther Head (who may or may not be waived) I think this is way too low a price for a 6'11 40% 3pt shooter who rebounds.

Murphy's intriguing because he can backup the 4 and 5. Doesn't obviously provide solid defense, but Howard doesn't either. If Rudy comes back healthy, and we have a normal guard rotation, I'd likely do that deal. Gives you insurance for next season if Joel left, and also gives you a large expiring to deal with for next season if something came up.

Were I the Pacers, and I'm not (though I live in Indy), I'd be willing to move Murphy, but it would take something at least moderately useful coming back. His contract expires next season anyway, and he is a useful to good player.

But then again, the Pacers are bleeding money as well. The Blazers might also have some interest in Jeff Foster. He's a very solid defender, the kind of guy I'd expect would get minutes for Nate.

something tells me the price tag would have just gone up knowing how desperate we would be.

I would get Murphy now too...how bad is his deal? If we give up TO/Blake and whatever, then I'd be just perfectly fine with that.
