I didn't watch the game tonight but looking at the box score its just amazing we beat Dallas with out Joel for most of the game. Blake and Webster look like they did nothing. Also Bayless and Miller look like they just had a average night. It seem like they really played with heart to pull out a Win.

Now that Joel out for the season do we still have a chance to make the playoffs? This win is giving me hope that we can still do it!

    GO BLAZERS!!

Yea Dallas played like crap but we have way less talent available, we gave a great effort.

Winning without Blake and Webster doing anything is normal. I think he team feels if they get something out of either of them, it's a bonus.

I think it was a combo of the Mavs not being sure how to play us when we were small, and some decent defense (especially from some of the guards). I honestly was kind of in a haze for most of the game, so I might be remembering things incorrectly.

So, are the winning days over this season then? Since teams will know we are going small and be prepared. We really have no option now. Howard playing 30+ minutes every game going to hurt more than help. He did good this game but I don't expect that to continue.

I think going forward the only way this team has a chance of beating people is to exploit the one strength they do possess and that is to score early and push the tempo like crazy, here's why: They've got an uptempo point guard in Miller who knows how to push it, Bayless does better in an up and down game, LMA will probably be able to beat most centers down the court for easier buckets, Roy can trail on the secondary break, Martell might be better in transition where he won't have time to think and let the yips takomh over ... That's all I've got, other than that I think this team is doomed to win no more than 15-20 more if they play in a slow down half-court style with this current group.

And when you get right down to it, Roy can still be pretty effective in the half court at the end of games when the team needs to grind out a win.

We are winning ugly by playing good D. Think about how many wide open shots they had. Not many. Or at least not as many as last year when we played them.

its really shocking that this current team just beta the mavs yet a team with oden, rudy, outlaw, batum and pryz couldnt come close.

I think the tightened rotation has helped the team a ton. They may not want to admit it, but by having fewer players on the court, they are getting used to playing with each other quicker.

We've now won 40 straight games when holding opponents under 90 points. Wow.

It's amazing what good team defense can overcome.

Yes Mike & Mike pointed that stat out in the tv broadcast during the beginning of the 4th quarter. 39-0 when blazers hold their opponent to less than 90 points in a game. That stat really impresses me. Now we just got 40.
