    My sources are telling me Shannon Brown is close to signing a 3 year extension with the Lakers.

    It's interesting the Lakers are extending their players another 3 years. I guess they feel that's their championship window with the current group.

    I think they have player options for next year so they can begin negotiating extensions. Same with Kobe.

    Shannon has a player option, he'd have to opt out of it and then sign the extension. Same with Kobe he has a player option. I'm not sure about Gasol though.

    This is good news.

    Kobe (when he gets extended), Pau, LO, Artest, Drew, Shannon, and Luke will be our core for the next couple of years. They're all locked up. Just gotta spend wisely now and get good bargains.

    Anyways, I wonder how Jordan feels if this is true. lol
