<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Mr Wolf @ Apr 29 2006, 11:20 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Yes, there is a movie out in theaters called "United 93", however due to the rise in gas prices I will not fork over the $7-8 to see it. Call me a cheap ass. However, A&E did show their original movie "Flight 93" on tonight (and it is on for an encore later tonight at midnight central time).I watched the movie and it got me pretty emotional. It really makes you think back about that day and all the events that unfolded. It truely was a tragic day that I will never forget. Ever. Honest to god, that day still breeds anger in me. I'm still angry, I'm still fuming mad over what happened on that day. When I see the footage or when I watched this movie it just reminded me of that. The general public isn't reminded enough of the events on 9-11.Anyways, I got off topic there for a second. This movie shows the courage, the bravery and the heart of those on board Flight United 93. Once they found the terrorists were bluffing about the bomb and they were going on a suicide mission, they decided to act and take over the cockpit. Those guys saved hundreds of lives by making that unselfish move. The fact that they can't get funding for a memorial makes me angry, as well. The crew and the passengers fought the terrorists and saved many, many lives. What do they need to do to be remembered? They are heros and they show us that everyday people can be heros. They were husbands, fathers and sons and those son of bitches took them away. What the hell more do you have to do for a memorial?I suggest you guys either check out United 93 in theaters (with your family, not your friends) or watch the encore of Flight 93 on A&E tonight.RIP Flight United 93 and all of those innocent who died on that day</div>Don't just insult Muslims, Christians considered all Muslims animals in the Crusaders day, and what did Muslims do in return?Oh yeah, in the two Crusades they entered (and won), they let the Christians and Jews go completely free.Edit: Keep the namecalling off the boards. Consult that in PM or another way besides these boards. ~ Wade3
No I wont see it. Because honestly it never effected me in any way when it happened. I know it was tragic but I dont care enough to go see that movie. Me being Canadian, it had no effect over my life or other Canadian lives.

I re-read his post, I found nothing.
The reason why it gets so much attention in America is because it was a direct terror attack on America against Americans on American soil. Do you really think we will treat this the same as if thousands of other people died in another country? Is it right? I don't know. But these are our loved ones who are dying on this day in our backyard. We got sucker-punched by cowards. Of course it will get more attention than stuff that happens in Africa. You are naive if you think America would.
I want to see the movie myself. Even though I've been in Canada most my life, even though 9/11 didn't affect my country to the degree it did America, it was a horrible day that forever changed my views on people, religion, and power. Flight 93 looks like a solid ticket
I won't see the movie because I have watched the 9/11 documentaries on TV. Seeing the planes hit the towers makes me sick along with the people jumping and seeing the people on the streets reaction. But to be 100% honest I am over 9/11. It was terrible but we move on. The world has not changed like the media says it has or would after 9/11, let me make that clear. Everything is back to the way it was regardless of the Patriot Act or the war. People have short attention spans and humans are progressive, we move on.
The world will never change. With the priorities us humans have today, andwill ahve until man kind ceases to exist, there will always be more greed, evil, and jelousy in the world than kindness and good

If America would pay more attention to the people of Congo than what happened to our own people on our own soil (911).My bad for not specifying what I was talking about.
That's like saying you should care more about 10 fathers dying in a car crash over in Germany more than your own father dying in a car crash in America.

You may not have been directly effected but you were still effected.I don't know why I have to debate this with you. It's quite obvious that 9-11 should be more important to Americans than the people of Congo because it happened to us and it was an attack on us. I expect the people on Congo to worry about themselves more than they worry about 9-11. It works both ways.Stop trying to make it look like Americans are horrible for thinking more of 9-11 than all the other stuff going on around the world. That other stuff does not effect them, 9-11 did and most of us took it personally. Those terrorists wanted to kill people like me and you because we are Americans. How can you not take that personally? Sure, you didn't get killed or nobody you knew was killed but they were targeting people like me and you.
You said if my Dad died in the attacks, saying that the majority of Americans lost someone as important to them as their own father is absurd.I don't care about terrorism because honestly with the esception of 9/11 it's a very minor problem which we seem to make a huge deal of. I never said that Americans should care about Congo more than 9/11, but the fact that we still hear about it nonstop 5 years later and not once on the news have I seen one mention of the 7 million who have been killed in Congo makes me sick.
I'm sorry, some of us are still extremely upset at what happened on that day. In fact, some of us are so upset at it we are willing to die to make sure those responsible are put to justice.
