I am too lazy to find that thread where I said Bayless should start and play big minutes and you said he is not ready. Are you watching this game? I am not trying to be a jerk lol just asking your opinion.

What do you think now, after Bayless' performance so far tonight? Can he play 28 a game? I for SuRe think so.

    Anyone else?

    Thoughts?

Well he is a little streaky, and very similar playing style to Roy. But he is putting up big numbers when it counts!

Bulldog sounds like a PF. Like Cunningham could be a Bulldog. Bulldogs are kind of slow too.

LOL. I'm not sure how I rate my own "callout" thread, but let me just say I was thoroughly impressed with the way he actually ran the offense and controlled the game with the ball in his hands and to boot he did it against a team that actually plays defense. I guess I was more in favor of slowly reeling out the responsibility bit by bit and letting him get his confidence with baby steps, but if he can perform in this kind of crucible and step up then more power to him.

It's one game, but right now it's pretty clear to me that you could put him in the starting lineup and probably get some very good production -- production certainly better than what we get out of Blake and Miller from a shooting perspective and a defensive perspective.

Good on Jerryd, I wouldn't have thought he was capable of something like this, this soon.

I have always been a huge Bayless fan, and he still has surpassed my expectations for his second year. His mid range shot is so BIG for his ability to attack the basket. You just can't lay off of him. And his improved 3 ball is shocking.

What worried me most about Bayless wasn't whether he could run the offense but whether he could hit his jumpers. Look how Parker played him to shoot his jumper because he feared him driving right by him. I want to see him do a few more games before I annoit him starter of course the way Blake and Miller are playing he couldn't do much worse.

By the way thanks Ben. I know Bulldogs tend to be slow but I love the way he bulls his way into the lane and looks for contact. Having both Roy the Natural and Bulldog Bayless on the court will put a ton of pressure on defenses. Add in GO and we are going to be a tought team to stop.

Have a feeling when Rudy gets back Blake may end up being stuck on the bench.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I've always maintained that Bayless was tremendously talented, had distributing skills and would be a perfect complement to Roy. I think he's clearly showing the first two to be true and I believe even more firmly in the third.
