I hope he punches the birdman in the mouth. I'd buy his jersey the next home game, and wear it every day for the rest of the season.
I don't know - that block he had in the 4th on Parker was Nasty. Of course it bounced over to Duncan for an uncontested dunk, but still . . .
I sure hope he gets more playing time against the 76'ers on Monday and Clips Wednesday. I want him to develop more.
I remember on one of the courtsides that Pendergraph was a guest on, Rice said that Cunningham will get more minutes than Pendergraph this year.. Looks wrong so far.
I like that kid. He is a much better fit for this team than Blair. He has the size to be a nasty defender - which is something we needed here, and, given our medical team's prowess, I really do not want to see what they would do with a guy with no ACLs...
It looks like he will get anywhere from 16-20 min against the 76'ers on monday, if the Blazers have a comfortable lead. Looks like his offensive/defensive rebounding is starting to show in this 6-9 power forward in the last two games.
Interview: http://www.columbian.com/weblogs/bl...iew-blazers-pendergraph-i-just-have-abundant/ Kid is working hard to claim the "I love to quote him" title from the departing Frye. Can we just call him the "Buffet of toughness"?
I Like Pendergraph. Lunch Pail type player who puts in effort at all times. Respect that about him. Really seems like some of the Blazers don't care at times (LaMarcus), so would like to see Jeffs work ethic on court spread to a few other Blazers.
HCP said it perfect - Brain Grant clone. I believe we have found our b/u PF of the future. You can have Channing Frye - I'll take this guy.
He looks comfortable out there. You can tell this guy is a 4-year College player. I think he could be a 25 MPG player this season and maybe eventually start in place of Howard.
Why is everyone eager to decrease Howard's minutes? Experience counts!! He may have half the physical talent of Aldridge, but he's just about as effective, when you include defense, toughness, springing into the middle of the action instead of running away in a panic, etc.
He played pretty good defense on Duncan last I saw. I wouldn't expect it every game though. As for rebounding...who do we have left? Aldridge is admittedly not great and no one else on the roster is either without Oden and Pryz.
http://blog.oregonlive.com/behindblazersbeat/2009/12/blazers_trainer_jay_jensen_get.html For a while, they thought Jeff might have broken his 5th metatarsal just like Travis and Martell. Had he gone out AGAIN, the Blazers' medical staff should all be fired.
He's good against immobile bigs that aren't very strong. But not mobile players or strong players. And I'm not saying he shouldn't play.. he is one of our only options. I was just saying he's not as good as some people think/
