Hottest Team In The NBA We also have the most conference wins in our conference and the most divisional wins in our division. This is turning into a magical season. Oden and Przy were keeping All Star Juwan Howard (how bout that pass to Aldridge?) buried on the bench. Now that Howard is finally playing major minutes, we are dominating. I'm going to the next two games. Can't wait!
Who knew we had a superstar in Howard in the waiting. I hate to see injuries to anyone especially on my team, but it has given Howard a chance to prove himself and he has delievered. Give him the max!
The answer to that is pending. Let's see where the standings fall on the last night of the season. I hope those two Oden free throws don't come back to bite us.
I DID think our season was lost when Joel went down. Greg going down really took it out for me in terms of my overall excitement, but I still had high hopes. Now, I'm blown away by our play but never expected us to win these recent games.
So the single item which makes your original statement of the season being "lost" is "pending" the 4-month-from-now repercussions of two free throws in November? Let me guess...last year our season was "pending being lost" after you tossed Blake under the bus when he missed 4 of 5 FTs at the end of a game we lost by 1? Or when you tossed Outlaw under the bus for not knowing the play at the end of a game and causing a Roy turnover? Or when he dribbled it up the court into a double-team and turned it over in a game we lost by 2? Oh wait, you didn't.
Those two Oden free throws? Such a distant memory. I WISH that was the worst thing that happened to this team all season.
Re: Hottest Team In The NBA BTW, that pass/exchange was all made possible by my man Bayless drawing everyone out..
Re: Hottest Team In The NBA Oh yea, that was slick. Bayless is learning how to have an effect on the game even when he is not scoring.
Re: Hottest Team In The NBA That's the thing about Bayless (and to a lesser degree, Rudy) that he has over Blake. Blake can't create for himself, and use that to his advantage. Bayless can create for himself, and teams collapse on him...and he's smart enough to know to pass to other players. Teams don't collapse on Blake, and he rarely creates for himself off the dribble. He spots up and shoots 3's (which I like him doing, as long as they are smart shots). If Blake isn't scoring, teams don't have to worry about him driving to the hoop or trying to get to the FT line. He's pretty much useless if he's not hitting his shots.
