I really dont feel like i'm getting too much out of college right now. maybe i'm not ready, i think i'm a little too immature right now. I think it has to be one of the more adventurous jobs not requiring a college education. there are other reasons, but i really dont feel like putting them.
The only way I could possibly see myself joining is if I was fighting for something I believe in, and with the wars that we've been in lately, I can't say that I think that would be the case. Therefore I will avoid serving this "country" at all costs.
I will be enlisting in the armed forces in a year or two from now. I will probably enlist with the United States Army or Air Force. Both of those branches have great opportunities for college and other benefits. If I enlist in the Army I will be an 11B Infantrymanand if I enlist in the Air Force I will be a 1A7X1 Aerial Gunner. Either way, I hope to fight in the War on Terror or the War in Iraq.

I am in the Army, and if you are thinking of joining the military, don't join the Army. Air Force or Navy would be the best choice, but Marines would be third. Coast Guard is even better than the Marines and Army, but don't join the Army. It's not an enjoyable experience, even if you have a perfect physical training test score like i do, and qualify well on your weapon at the range like i do, you still get treated like crap by NCO'S that are worse soldiers than you, even if you tried to be, they just happen to have joined the army a few years before you so you have to listen.
I would never enlist. I just couldn't stand going into war for reasons like that and plus I would be scared.

Yeah, i was in Tikrit with 4th ID, which is the other reason why you don't want to join the Army. Not because it's hard being in Iraq or anything, but because the they Army has 12 month deployements, and the rest of the services don't. I don't think any of the rest of them have more than 8 month deployements to any war zones.
