I have no respect for Valve. They refuse to work on the PS3 like little bitches, probably because they can't deal with it's complexity. Heh.

Half-Life 2 was good but it's load times were crazy. I can see why though as the game is really massive.

It has more to do with contracts than just working with a company.

I highly doubt Valve is under contract with Microsoft.

    Re: Game of the Year

Valve makes games for the PC that are eventually ported to the Xbox. Obviously it's easier to go from games for Windows to games for the Xbox than to go to a different set of tools altogether.

^ this. Xbox is basically a pc that doesn't run on windows.

And, I've only played Modern Warfare 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 from games up on that list. But I also enjoyed Street Fighter 4. Is it GOTY worthy? No, just enjoyed too much not to mention it.

Why would they go to PS3? And are Grand Turismo owners bitches for not going to Xbox and PC? (or god of war, etc etc etc)

well ps3 has better capabilities for one, and if you dont have ps3, its hard to say if uncharted was good/better.

Why wouldn't they? Microsoft doesn't own them. Neither does Nintendo. They're their own company.

The only reason they don't is because they can't work with it.

    Re: Game of the Year

Question is why would they? And why don't those other games go to Xbox and PC?

It has nothing to do with them being 'bitches' but making decisions that you'll never understand. :ghoti:

    Re: Game of the Year

Well for one it wouldn't be possible. As neither of the two would fit into the Xbox.

Decisions my ass, they did Half-Life 2 for PS3, didn't they? But for some reason, they refuse to release games like Left 4 Dead on the PS3.

    Re: Game of the Year

Just to clear the air, Valve had nothing to do with porting Half Life 2 to the PS3. That was all EA Games. Hence why the game wasn't as well received as the Xbox or PC version.

Demon's Souls looked super lame. I didn't play it, but I watched my brother play it and garnered zero interest in it from the 35 minutes I watched. It moved ungodly slow and the combat looked atrociously boring.

    Re: Game of the Year

Wrong. My buddy let me borrow it, and I must of played it an hour or so. Normally I would agree that it doesn't give the game justice to play so little, but it's just such a boring game. There's absolutely no story, and the combat is like Moo said -- atrociously boring. It's somewhat of a difficult game, and I would have no problem with that, if it was actually fun to play. Thank god I didn't drop $60 on it, despite planning to.
