It is now snowing heavy again in SE, but who knows this is Portland. We might have the worst news weather people in the world.
Off to pick up my daughter from pre-school! Time to test out the new Audi all-wheel drive. Wish me luck!
We average a bit over 75 inches per year at my home here in Beautiful Central Oregon. 33 IPY in Bend. Pick your city: http://www.weatherbase.com/weather/city.php3?c=US&s=OR&refer=
Not a lot of cities but........... http://www.usatoday.com/weather/resources/askjack/2003-10-01-snowiest-cities_x.htm
mmm... was drifting some corners in my all-wheel drive VW R32. Woot. fun shit. Pissed the woman off though, LOL.
I tried Germantown road at 4 pm today...my 4 wheel drive truck is still up there...in between piles of wrecked cars... the road in front of me and behind me ended up getting blocked by cars that couldn't move...so I walked the 4 miles home rather than watch the idiots continue to get stuck...
My kid was at zoo camp, so I had to go get her. Me, in my antique, RWD BMW with open diff got around without a problem around all the people that had no idea what they were doing in their fancy SUVs and AWD cars. The wife was smart enough to realize that she was out of her element as well, so she parked the Subaru downtown and took the Max, so I just had to go to Sunset TC to pick her up. I love driving in the snow. Years of rally competition really help, I guess.
