After two-years at the club, Gary Megson has been sacked as Bolton manager with immediate effect. The decision came after Bolton gave up a 2-1 lead over Hull and were met by boos at when the whistle blew for fulltime. While Bolton shop for a new manager, assistant coach Chris Evans will take the reins. Alan Curbishley and Mark Hughes are both possible candidates to take the vacant managerial role.
