Re: I'm falling in love with Kobe Bryant Wow Smush sets Kobe up to be clutch and Kobe gets all the credit. Without Smush Kobe would be nothing and the series would be tied.

It works both ways.

The suns couldn't get to Kobe so I call it a layup even though Kobe decided to make it tougher than it should've been.

Yes, Parker was clutch in the situation, but he didnt shoot the ball for Kobe. Kobe made 2 great shots. No one is trying to discredit Dirk. Everyone says thats a great shot, but your trying to make it as though Kobe didnt do sh*t in the game. Kobe's TWO shots were more clutch than Dirk's ONE. It's that simple.
Re: I'm falling in love with Kobe Bryant Dirk's shot was the hardest to make. I thought it would be a miss when Dirk had with being doubled and everything. Somehow he made it and now you calling Kobe's shot more clutch even though they are more makeable?
Re: I'm falling in love with Kobe Bryant I saw what happenned in the lakers game and had to see the discussion. And mavsfan is REALLY pissing me off....Kobe hit 2 game winners/tiers at the buzzer today, in a game that if LA lost, it would have meant the series. His first shot was a huge floater, and second was an EXTREMELY tough fadeaway over 2-3 defenders. He did it with no timeout, no setting up offense, anything. Dirk hit a shot with 15 seconds left, a shot that if he missed would have meant nothing to the series.
Re: I'm falling in love with Kobe Bryant Mavsfan... wow, just wow. I don't even know what to say...I take it you didn't watch the Lakers game?Yes, Smush hit a clutch shot, and so did Devean George, however Kobe was the most clutch player. As for the Dirk/Kobe thing... when you take into account the degree of difficulty, the situation of the game and how the shots would have changed the complexion of each series, Kobe's shots were more clutch than Dirk's.Dirk's shot was clutch, there is no doubt about it, but Kobe's were just more clutch.
Re: I'm falling in love with Kobe Bryant Whatever man. I don't think the level of difficulty was as much but can't tell Kobe fans that. Kobe is the most clutch player ever to Kobe fans.
Re: I'm falling in love with Kobe Bryant Hello!?! I'm a Maverick Fan and i still say the Kobe shots were more clutch! This is by far the most biased thing i've heard you say Mavsfan.

Dirk is the greatest player to ever play the game to Dirk fans.EDIT: And I am what people would consider a "Kobe hater," but slowly and surely I have grown to like his game... but I have always respected his greatness.
Re: I'm falling in love with Kobe Bryant Dirk>Kobe so far in the playoffs and the regular season. Kobe hit 2 shots he would hit half the time or more while Dirk hit a fadeaway 3 from way downtown. One shot does not make the other more clutch. The mavs were down by 3 and if Dirk missed that shot it was pretty much ball game.

He hits the game tying shot to send it into overtime. Then he hits the game winner to win the game and give LA a 3-1 series lead.I am amazed. How can you be more clutch than that?</div>'Melo :happy0144: lol jkI am liking him more, but when I think of his name the first thing that comes to my mind is rape.
Re: I'm falling in love with Kobe Bryant Now I know why somebody deleted this. They wanted to cover up for Mavsfan.Wow man how can you say what you do? Stop hating. Also,

I don't hate him, but I did lose respect for him after that. The only reason why they dropped the charges was because the girls family was being threated by Kobe fans. It was a great shot and Kobe is a great player, I just don't respect him.

And I pretty much agree with everyone else that Kobe's shot were better then Dirk's. They were not easy shots for Kobe, watch that shot he made to tie the game and tell me that was not hard. And then the game winner he was doubled and still hit it. And your last sentence can be said for Kobe's shots. Unless in your mind, the Lakers had a shot at winning the game if Kobe missed both.Oh and George set the outlet pass on the Kobe tie, not Smush who had the steal.
Re: I'm falling in love with Kobe Bryant I didnt bash Kobe he's one of my favorite players infact. All I said was one bad thing.Besides clutch shots DO take care of turnovers, and bad shooting right?

He is making up for those turnovers by hitting 2 game winning shots. Also bad shooting? He shot 64%

Just wondering, despite the fact that this discussion has nothing to do with that. During the season, people bashed Kobe for not being a team player, and now that he is playing like a team player in the playoffs, people are still bashing him? That is the definition of hate.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Kobe hit 2 shots he would hit half the time or more while Dirk hit a fadeaway 3 from way downtown.</div>OK, so what you're saying is that Dirk's shot was better because the two shots Kobe made, he would normally make them anyway? Therefore your implying that Dirk is normally unable to hit a three-pointer?<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>One shot does not make the other more clutch. The mavs were down by 3 and if Dirk missed that shot it was pretty much ball game.</div>That bold part really made me laugh... seriously, that whole post contradicted it self.Look at the situations in the games, and then look at how each series would have been impacted had the players missed those shots.Dirk/Mavs: Dirk had what, 15 seconds left even if he missed that three, right? OK, say he misses it, the Mavs chances of winning are pretty slim, but you never know when the Grizzlies could miss free throws and allow the Mavs to have another crack at the game. Now, even if the Mavericks lost that game, they would be up 2-1, with two of the remaining four games at home.Kobe/Lakers: The first shot he hit send the game into overtime, and it was one tough lay-up/floater over Diaw with less than a second remaining. The second shot was a fadeaway jumper over two guys at the buzzer to win the game. Now, say he doesn't hit one of those shots, what happens? The Suns ties the series 2-2, and the Lakers have to go back to Phoenix and win one more game on the road.It is obvious that Kobe's shots had the bigger impact on the series, and of course you could see that his two shots were easily more clutch than Dirk's.
