Freaking wow. One of the league's top reporters unloads with both barrels on Gar Forman.

First, he notes the Bulls' coaching staff's opinion of Gars stepping up to talk to the media and show support:
So Woj is not a fan of Forman.

He thinks the Bulls have more or less played to expectations...

    The closing argument:

No one does the indignant denial like Forman: From trade talks to coaching searches with a coach still on the job, his reputation has become the executive few trust, whose words and assurances ring hollow when confronted with his clandestine operations. Few will tell you they ever feel Forman has been straight with them, and finally, sources say the coaching staff has started to feel the same way.

He fits perfect in this organization. Few would tell me the Bulls management has been straight with us all along.

Be a good company man, the organization suggested. Play the Taj Gibsons and James Johnsons and you’ll be rewarded. The Bulls were fortunate they didn’t have a veteran coach these past weeks and months, because he wouldn’t have been so eager to pitch management’s message about all the terrific young players that you can win with now. Well, it isn’t true,

How refreshing it is to read about the Bulls from a sportswriter who's not a company man. And I do mean that the local writers don't speak the truth because they'd probably have their access to the team and players limited.

The other obvious bit that comes across in the article is the arrogance of the organization toward the fans. Fool you 11 times, they know they have you suckered for the 12th and 13th, etc.

Trade for Yi? It would be an anti-cap move. Yi doesn't replace Ben Gordon, nor does he even adequately replace Thomas. What he does is sell Bulls merchandise in China.

What is it going to take, folks, to realize what the deal really is?

You guys never stop surprising me. Vinny isn't a good coach, hasn't gotten better from last year, and should be on his way out. Vinny has lost multiple games for the bulls this year. Even with the injuries they would be at least 3 games better with better coaching, or at least a guy who understands rotations. He should go. Forman comes out and doesn't lie or sugarcoat anything and you guys blast him for not lying and sugarcoating. I see no reason to have any loyalty to a mediocre rookie coach.

Management has a plan, and it's a plan to build a contender. Unfortunately, it wasn't a straight A to B plan.

How does trading Thomas for Yi constitute a plan? It's $6M in cap space in exchange for a worse player on a longer term contract. $3M less to spend on free agents.
