Second outdoor game? I would love to see some more outdoor games. I think their should be more of them, an outdoor rink should be created somewhere for all NHL teams use play at least once each year. Hopefully Canada does get an outdoor game.
And that is the problem, the NHL trying to get Americans to understand a game they have no will to. Few sports are better live than Hockey.
The thing is, the Winter Classic is so rare it makes the game that much more important for hockey fans. Out of the 1230 games (30 teams that play 82 games each, now split the league up so its 15 x 82) there is only ONE game played outside. Two games outside would be nice, like maybe even on the same day? Take over New Years day and play two outdoor games at two stadiums.
The thing is, with one game its cool, and you gotta watch it. I dont even like the Bruins and the Flyers and Im going to try to watch it...If im not too hung over.
I'm kinda here now. One every two years is cool but if they ratings stay high with this, then cool, but once Jerry Jones starts campaigning for one (if he ever does) the league needs to step back.
Everyone has lost interest in the NHL already. Every team should get an outdoor game I think. Obviously they'd all have to happen in the North but 15 games isn't that many.
Hockey is the "underground" major sport of North America. Go to Canada, hell Michigan, and say that the NHL sucks, might lose a limb. 15 outdoor games would be like having 16 NFL thanksgiving day games... That would suck. One, or two outdoor games on New Years would be the best choice.
