projected starters pg: felton sg: jackson sf: gerald wallace pf: diaw c: chandler (although, he missed monday's game) key reserve: dj augustin, nazr mohammend and flip murray who can score raps pg: jack sg: derozan sf: hedo pf: bosh c: bargs sixth man: weems game notes: the raps finish out 09 with this game. last time these two teams hooked up- the raps were eviscerated by 40 points, hopefully this team around- the raps fare slightly better. however, this team presents matchup problems for the raps, particularly the gerald wallace- hedo matchup which is a disaster waiting to happen. prediction: raps win 103-98 and the game thread girls...
thats yvette prieto (mike jordan's new fling) and elin woods. i thought they would be appropriate to sum up the raps season because they both have been screwed over by athletes.
turk should have just called in sick because he's a freakin disease out there- exposing raptor fans to a terrible disease called bad defense.
that was fun. key to the game- hedo's injury because after he went out- the raps won the rest of the game.
Talk about racing back to .500... Belly still can't hit a shot to save his life but the ones he made tonight were meaningful so that's all that matters... 9-6 on the month which considering the strength of schedule I think is a success... I was hoping we'd be at .500 at Christmas but this is good enough... things don't get any easier in January with our next games against Boston, San Antonio, Orlando, Boston again, Cleveland, and the Lakers in a west coast swing... we have a relatively easy schedule in February so just staying at .500 is what we need at least.
Didn't watch the game but checked the boxscores. Weems and Beli had terrible shooting nights but they did get to the line and made some FTs. Banks stats wise didn't have a good game but it seems he impressed deception.
Banks is a tough guy, standing up to Wallace, and Banks is getting used to how the team is supposed to play and is giving them a chip they need. Though, Wallace had a MASSIVE flop when Jack hit him.
banks made like a wrestler and flipped wallace like he was nothing and i was loving it. i think thats the first time since the oak era that we did the actual punking instead of being on the receiving end of a punk (e.g pierce on bosh, horford on tj, anthony johnson on caledron). btw, i think on the previous possession or a few possessions before that- wallace was trying to incite something with amir and thats why amir was so animated.
