For those who read on LMF, there was a discussion on this guy being a free agent target for the Mavs in the offseason. Now I know were in a playoff run now, but topics seem dried up on here, so I decided to continue the discussion on here. Any thoughts on this guy? I think he might the right 2 guard here paired with Howard. Definately someone we can land with the MLE, and has the versatility to play 3 positions. Can defend, his scoring is underrated in Wash, fits Avery's type player.

Y'know...that might actually be a good pickup for us, for the MLE.I mean especially if we're not talking about keeping Griff, and I think Marquis is better coming of the bench, as I think he'll end up replacing Stack as our go to guy off the bench in the real near futer.

Very good idea. To me also, Jeffries seems like a guy Avery would like to have on the team. Imo, I would see him as a back up behind Dirk, Jeffries is like 6'10 or 6'11. In this case Mavs wouldnt resign Van Horn. Idk what options this leaves for Rawle or Griff

I think a backup 3/4 that is athletic could help against the Bonzi Well's and Ron Artest type players. Dallas needs a player similar to Adrian Griffin that can play physical at the 2.

Man I hope you guys dont steal JJ away from us...he's very valuble to our team despite him having no offensive skills whatsoever...

Don' t get your hopes up yet..I think that this aint gonna be another Larry Hughes free agent situation..I think jeffries is a genuine guy and I think he actually enjoys playin for the wizards..I think when Eddie Jordan tries to resign Jeffries, which will definently happen, Jeffries will relize that he is getting offered the amount of money that his skill level has to offer...I think he will resign with the wizards if they are succesfull in the playoffs..

I think he'll be easy to steal for the MLE. Isn't he unrestricted? Also, Lazy he's been playing 2/3 for Wiz, that's why I look at him as a good starting 2 for us. Pair him with Howard and I like the wing positions. But your right in that he can backup Dirk as well, which is why I like him. If we can land him, draft a backup pg/pf like Diaz/Gibson or Batista/Buckman, resign Benga, Terry, Powell, Griff and call it a offseason imo. Easier said then done though.

Honestly though what team wouldn't want a 6'11' two guard?

Why would the Nuggets want him? He doesn't do anything on offense.
