<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Mavericks will ask the league to review the flagrant foul that was called on Dirk Nowitzki when he tried to block a Pau Gasol drive to the basket with 59.3 seconds left in overtime. Nowitzki said he felt like he went for the ball, and in fact, he blocked the layup. "We'll review it, and I think it will get reduced," said Mavs owner Mark Cuban. The league has the power to alter officiating calls after the fact if they feel a ruling was too stringent or lenient.</div>

Good call by the Mavs. I honestly hated that call. We will see how it turns out.

I hate Reggie Miller's comment about said Dirk should get called for that flagrant. It is obvious who he is rooting for or who he is rooting against.

Hard foul, but the league is biased, trust me. I mean, Ron Artest suspended one whole playoff game, in one he would be needed? I mean, I'm SURE Ron Artest would rather take a longer suspension starting at the beginning of the regular season. And the injury to Marquis Daniels earlier in the season cost him about 16 games if I'm not mistaken, and no flagrant foul, and DB Mbenga gave a hard foul to LeBron James who was a NATURAL football player, anyway, and got suspended for a game?Oh, by the way, mavsfan, don't you remember how Mark Cuban dissed Reggie? That's probably why.

Nowitzki's flagrant foul is downgraded by league Dirk Nowitzki's flagrant foul against Grizzlies forward Pau Gasol in Game 3 was reduced to a personal foul by the NBA office after film of the play was reviewed. Nowitzki will not be fined and will not be assessed any points. Players are suspended if they accrue more than four flagrant-foul penalties in the playoffs. Eddie Sefko Link

That's good to hear, I thought it was way overblown, and shouldn't have been a flagerant at all.
