Since the regular season is just so boring... and Kobe needs to purposely injects some drama into the regular games for us to stay interested... why not fast forward to the playoff topics 1. If the playoffs where to start right now, do you think we'll win the title with the current play of the team? - Personally, i think the close games are good 'warm - ups' for the playoffs but i think Kobe will gas out as the finals nears coz' he's just been playing too much (if the playoffs started now). We have to have at least a month (hopefully feb - march) where the team is working on all cylinders and blowing out opponents in the 4th so Kobe and Pau could save themselves for the playoffs. 2. If the Lakers make the finals who do you think they'll face? - IMO, they'll face the Cavs, Why? the only thing that prevented the Cavs from facing the lakers last year was Dwight. Now they have shaq, even though they are slightly slower, they are starting to pick it up and i think Shaq can step - up and contain Dwight when called upon. Not to mention, i think last year's orlando was better than this year bec. of the team's chemistry and nelson's play. And unless the Celtics prove that they can stay healthy for good, the Cavs are my bet in the East right now. 3. If the Cavs DO make it to the finals against us, and win... what would you personally feel? -IMO, this would be a double blow for Kobe. Everyone will jump on the LeBron better than Kobe bandwagon and everyone will say shaq has more than Kobe. (Just to add, the past decade saw no MVP winning the title, this year those chances are at an all time high with Kobe and LeBron leading the race and their teams leading the league, hope Kobe wins out though as this will be another blow haters would use against him) Pls. don't smoke me ... just give out your thoughts Happy new year!
1. Kobe's playing a lot of minutes but that doesn't mean anything. He's had all summer to rest, his body was ready for this season. And if you listen to his interviews, he says scoring 30-40 a night now is much easier than it was 3 or 4 years ago because of the teammates he has around him. I don't care about the minutes he's playing, I care about the energy he's exerting. If he plays 48 minutes a night but all he's doing is running up and down the court, I doubt that would matter at all. Fact of the matter is, we're not healthy, we're missing two key pieces to our team, so Kobe has to put more effort in to win. That will change when we get our guys back. Do I think we can win the title? It's still anyone's game between LA/Boston/Cleveland/Orlando. At the end of the day, we just have to face one of the three (I'm not scared of the west) and anything can happen. But yes, we are playing sloppy basketball right now. Our point guards are worrisome. And I dunno what the fuck is going on with Drew. But can we win the title? I don't see why not. We're a better team than last year, we just need to get healthy and get motivated. 2. Boston 3. LOL @ this question
Michael Jordan played 38 minutes a game at the end of his run with the Bulls. That time shouldn't be a problem for Kobe, he's not at 40 or 41 minutes a night.
