http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/63760/20100101/butler_says_he_got_flips_message/ I could see this working for both teams. Tmac will be the sixers' go to guy... especially when williams returns... that doesnt sound good for iverson LOL Iguodala would be the perfect "glue - guy" for a team like the rockets.
I don't know why the 76ers would do this. Iguodala is one of the cornerstones to that franchise, and they'd be getting a one year rental in TMac, and we're not even completely sure what TMac is capable of at this point.
McGrady has little to no value at this stage as a player. Any team that trades for him will be doing it solely for the expiring contract. If the Rockets agreed to take on a burdensome contract like Dalembert's or Brand's, then Philadelphia could conceivably give the Rockets Iguodala for McGrady + a nice, cheap rotation player like Scola or Landry. Its a long shot, and the Rockets would have to think twice before accepting it.
I could definitely see them doing it if they could rid themselves of Brand of Dalembert, but you're basically giving up on your season if you do that. Although, I guess, since they're in the East, you're never really out of it. The issue with dumping Iggy and Brand or Dalembert is, they may get nice cap relief when TMac comes off the books, but what do they do with it? None of the big name FAs are going to want to come and play in Philly, so if they do it to rebuild come the summer, they might want to think twice.
I wouldn't know myself, but I read on the Clutchfans board that this is a Houston reference: Iguodala's Twitter: http://twitter.com/AI9 # Tippin on 44s??? about 16 hours ago from web
