I really like last.fm. It is far better than most competitors like Pandora radio. It gives me much better control of what exactly I am listening to. I was listening quite a bit there for a while, but haven't really had much time as of late.

what does this all do exactly? how is it different from itunes?

 

Not much really, its just like an internet database, it takes your itunes play count, artists and puts them on the internet for others to see and find out similar bands.

I don't use I-tunes and have zero songs downloaded on my computer. I use last.fm to listen to bands I am interested in and find out unheard of bands that are of a similar sort. I also use it to check out new bands that I haven't heard to find out what they are about. Basically for me it is a thing to put on headphones when I have the time to sit around and discover new stuff.
