Note that I said "right now". For the past few games, Bryant has been shooting way too much and their bigs way too little. They have no offensive chemistry, and while Bryant is there to lean on, they're unlikely to develop it. BUT: remember when Jordan retired the first time? And was replaced by (drum roll) Pete Myers (who had never played in the NBA and wasn't even on anybody's radar, making him arguably worse than Shannon Brown)? Remind me again how many more games the Bulls lost. I think Phil Jackson would secretly relish the chance to show Kobe that it's not all about him, and that there's a reason he has ten rings.
