Yea as of yesterday the Ravens staff said McNair would be leaving soon. The trades would make since. Titans got young, and Cullpeper left to Miami. Ravens are left with nothing and need a replacement

Kyle Boller isn't that great, I thought the same thing that McNair would teach Young. The Titans aren't giving McNair enough credit. McNair has done a ton of things for the Titans, he's led them to the Super Bowl. The Titans shouldn't bail on him like this.

He was co MVP 2 years ago but I think it's kind of a out with the old in with the new type of deal.

McNair and the Titans have been having problems all offseason long. McNair's cap number is going to be somewhere around $28 million, and the Titans don't want that on their cap. They've been trying to get McNair to renegotiate/restructure his contract so the cap number is lower, and he didn't want to do it. Then, the team told him he wasn't allowed to work out during the offseason at their training facility, and it went all downhill from there.I'm just wondering how Vince Young will feel about his longtime friend and mentor leaving Tennessee, when the plan all along was to have McNair mentor Young.

Its all about money. McNair is going to be owned a big chunk of money this year if they keep him. Thats why they want to trade him. I love Vince Young, but I personally dont think he is ready to start in the NFL. I think they need to Start Billy Volek or sign someone else to start and let Vince Young learn the offense for a year. Maybe let him start the last few games of the year. They should do what the Giants did with Eli Manning, the Bengals did with Carson Palmer, and what the Chargers did with Philip Rivers. McNair is probably going to the Ravens. This is a good move on their part. This gives them a QB that knows how to win, and one that can get the ball to thier wideouts and tightend Todd Heap.

I doubt it. I think McNair will retire after this year anyway. I dont see why the Titans would want to get rid of him. His situation right now is to just mentor Vince Young and ease him into the starting QB position.

I mean come on. would you want to pay a huge sum of money to an injury plagued Quarterback? I sure as hell know i wouldnt. McNair is going to make the Ravens better. They might not win the divsion with the likes of the Bengals and the Steelers in the divion, but they will be better.

Honestly i dont think it matters who the starting QB in front of him. Sure he will learn some stuff from him, but his name is Norm Chow, the offensive coordinator. Thats who will grom Vince Young into a NFL Quarterback. Plus they will probably sign another verteran quarterback. Also, Billy Volek isnt that bad at playing the position. He was probably the best backup quarterback last year.

Well I'm sure Young would prefer to have his friend and mentor right there with him for advice. All throughout his college career, the draft process, etc., McNair was his mentor. The Titans are planning to have Volek start if McNair is gone, and then hand the reigns to Young in a year or two.
