I think we need to trade Kenyon Martin. He will never be the player he once was. He settles for jump shots and his rebounding has gotten below average.Earl Boykins- Sure the energy is great but that doesn't make up for his defense. He dribbles to much time off the clock and his defense is suspect. Other point guards can back him down all game and have a field day.
How do you expect to trade him? I mean you have to at all costs but if you trade him you have to bring in more bad contracts in return.
Kenyon's always been a little bit overrated, I wasn't shocked that he flopped in Denver. He was playing with Jason Kidd in New Jersey and also had great chemstry with that team that used to manhandle my Celtics in the playoffs in the early 2000's.
Martin will be traded.I think Patterson could be traded too since he is in the last year of his contract, but that might come during the season. As I stated in another thread.Martin for Q. Richardson and Maurice Taylor. Then the Nuggets would have two expiring contracts in Taylor and Patterson which could bring back a very good player from a team looking to cut salary. Oh man. . . Ray Allen anyone? I know that is wishful thinking, but I'd love it.
K-Mart trade is inevitable this summer I think. Yeah I love your idea Ender bringing in Q and his much-needed outside shooting. Hopefully he can stay healthy... and then expiring contract in Taylor. Then if we can get good enough player out of Taylor and Patterson's expiring contracts I think we should do it. If the Sonics stink again next season, they might want to free their cap and take those guys and give us Ray Allen during next season. But I think Patterson really really needs to go. In the regular season, he's a hard-nosed player, a pretty good contributor. But when it comes to playoffs, giving him big minutes is suicide because he can't hit a shot. When he's fouled he can't hit free throws. I think with his low salary it;s going to be tough trading Boykins from our point of view. I still think with better teammates (scorers, shooters) Boykins can still provide a spark off the bench like he's used to next season.
I don't see a trade going down in Denver. You got Carmelo who is already making a HUGE name for himself. Perhaps Kenyon Martin will show up big next year and with Marcus Camby, and Andre Miller Denver should repeat as champions in the struggling Northwest Division. You guys are weak at the 2-gaurd and might be able tobring someone in this offseason but other than that I see nothing big going down in the Moutain West.
They have all good, solid players at each position, but it isn't working. I say, get a shooting guard who's mainly a defender, trade Kenyon Martin for an agrassive defender who can score, and improve the bench. That way they can be a contender for their division once more.

Greg Buckner and Ruben Patterson.Get a PF that is an aggressive defender AND who can score? Those are easy to come by. Maybe the Nuggets can get KG. :HAHAHA: The Nuggets need a three point shooter. There is no doubt about that. They need 2 three point shooters.
Earl Boykins - Good guy, I give him a lot of credit for being in the NBA at his height. He brings a lot of energy boosts to Denver off the bench. But Denver needs something else because they have solid players on each position and they haven't gotten out of the first round in three years with the same players almost. Kenyon Martin - Causes a lot of trouble and hasn't helped much for Denver to get out of the first round of the playoffs.
Kenyon Martin has always been trouble for any team he's been on, lots of foul problems but not a bad attitude just gotta watch that hand. They should try to trade him for possibely Juwan Howard or maybe try and get Cuttino Mobely.

When I meant mainly defender, I meant elite defender. So don't mix up what I said. That's what I meant. Kenyon martin is an agressive defender and he can score. but he isn't helping them. There are guys like that in this draft. So stop acting like you know everything, because you really don't.
Kenyon Martin is all. That guy upsetted the organization and basically flipped off the whole team. You can be sure that he will be gone.
kenyon martin upsetted the organization. lolanyway there's no doubt that they're gonna change things up in denver. but what will happen? who will take him and what will they get? we all know what they need. but who will be the one to give it to them.lol DRAMA OF THE OFFSEASON.
