That behavior is not "having balls".

    Its, "being a PRICK"

Or, that's what you assume based on past experiences and now affix this attitude to every person you deem to be a "meth head/Pan handler."

Every meth head is not a pan handler and every pan handler is not a meth head.

This is a typical conservative mindset: everyone who is homeless (or even poor) is that way because they a.) didn't work hard enough or b.) are on drugs. They refuse to accept that the system could possibly let people (lots of people) slip through the cracks.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I need to dissect it for inconsistencies. Not cleaning up after your dog in public areas is illegal in most places. Clearly, pan-handling isn't where you live.

If you're such an angry person, you probably should seek some kind of therapy. Before someone decides that out-of-control angry people defile their "nice place to live" and does something to you. ;)

Sometimes, DaRizzle has a different opinion than me. Today, though, he is cash money.

If someone on the street asks me for money, I'll almost always give them a dollar. Sure they could be buying drugs or booze with it, but you never know when someone really needs it. It doesn't cost me much, but it could mean a lot to someone who has had some tough breaks.

Speaking as somebody who spent several nights in jail for getting into fights when I was in my late teens and early twenties and having gone though my "angry" phase and been lucky enough to curb my dickhead instincts enough to keep myself from getting myself into true trouble before it was too late, Here's a piece of friendly advice.

Picking on the lowest of the low is just pure bullying and doesn't take much of anything except a need to dominate weaker people and eye for identifying those that are probably not much threat to you (and certainly doesn't take any balls). I can say with a reasonable degree of certainty that unless you get this thing under control Ben, one of these days you're going to 'accidentally' cross up the wrong person and probably end up shot, stabbed or beaten to death ... or maybe the other person takes the fall. Either way your life is going to be fucked.

So, if you want to be a hard man, be hard a man and pick fights with people better equipped to defend themselves and just as eager to mix it up; that would at least take "balls", however, please spare us the play by play after threatening and harassing a skid row bum. There's nothing about that even remotely tough.

I agree. Consider how low someone must be to resort to begging on the street. They deserve sympathy, not anger.

Personally, however, I never give to the guys on the exit ramps with a sign. I don't like the implied guilt inducement.

My brother is a recovering heroin addict. That means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. While he never lived the completely crusty life many addicts did, he lived in some filth. That being said, I have met many addicts who are trying to get clean. They all refuse to give money to those who beg on the street, and claim that 97% of them will immediately take any money they make and flip it for drugs or alcohol. How do they know? They lived it. Who am I going to trust on this bit of "fact"? Them, cuz, again, they lived it. So I don't give a dime to beggars, and have been encouraged by former beggars to not give up a penny.

And what happens if you don't give them a dollar? Do they go straight, put on a tie and go to work on Wall Street?

No, they probably find something to steal that they can trade for drugs or alcohol. Is that better, for them or for us?

Throughout the United States, more and more teenagers are viciously assualting homeless people for no apparent reason

These people all have balls huh Ben? Teens beating a homeless guy. Wow. Makes you wonder what kind of parents they have doesn't it Ben? I wonder who taught them it was cool to HATE the homeless? The next one is pretty good too. Cold cocking some pathetic old dude and KILLING him. The last is the best, they steal a prosthetic leg from an old drunk. Hilarious. Not.
