I think, when the game was in doubt, the poster was concerned that we might lose due to Bayless' mistakes. Thankfully, we didn't.
That was me, and you are correct Speed. I certainly wasn't implying that he needed to come out of the game. I was one of the Free Bayless no matter what guys. He's going to have stretches like this and he has to play through them. Can't a guy vent a little? It was driving me nuts that every time he touched the ball it was going the other way. I know he's got the green light right now, and I don't want to handcuff him. I was just pissed off.
Every time we play the Warriors that is how we should play them. 4 guards and let Oden/Pryzbilla/LMA play center.
Any time you go from down 14 to up 16, you're doing something right; We apparently can play small ball pretty well.
Mostly what I noticed tonight was effort. At the start of the game it was noticably lacking. I thought this was going to be another ass whooping like we got from Memphis in November. Then....they got motivated and worked their butts off and won the game. Effort won that game...pure and simple.
I certainly do not want to take anything away from the guys for a great win tonight - but you can't deny that GS just went dead cold after the 1st qtr. The W's hit just about everything in the 1st and, while we did turn up the D from then on, they still had a boat load of wide open looks that they couldn't convert on. Watson and Curry have been scoring pretty well of late and to have Watson go something like 0 for 8 is at least a bit of good luck on our side. Also, having been at the last three Blazers/Warriors games in Oakland and questioning the BS calls we'd get in Oakland, I'd have to say that we got some good home calls tonight. The fouls were pretty lopsided in our favor tonight and that helped to keep us in the game in the first half . . . but the 4th qtr was just a good ol' fashion ass-whooping.

The Warriors were reaching in on just about every drive the Blazers did and were reaching across the arm of the player. They're known for trying to steal/slap at the ball but tonight they were getting arm a lot. So that's why there were so many fouls against the Warriors and why the rank among the top of league for fouls per game.
Yeah, it's eerily similar with a cornucopia of things in common. The winning team from both games had 1. Tons of injury, with only 8 available player on that night, one of which was a big who was obtained recently via the NBA hardship exemption. 2. All of their 8 player saw time on the floor. 3. A deficit in double digits after the end of the 1st quarter, looking like they were going to get blown out. 4. Scored 26 more points than their opponent for the rest of the game after the 1st quarter. 5. Their franchise player, who is a guard, score over 30 points. 6. Won on their homecourt. 7. Played undersized for most of the night. 8. Had a starting big man get yanked in the first quarter and play only single digit minutes for the whole game. 9. Lost the jump ball at the beginning of the game. 10. Their starting small forward make 4 threes in the game and score over 20.
