I don't give a shit if you give up on them or not, just make some resolutions.

    1. Eat better
    2. Get in shape
    3. Make money
    4. Travel more
    5. Meet more high quality women
    6. Drink less

    really generic. but specifically:

    1. Eat more fruits and vegetables and less meats and fried food. More organic sources of food and better quality of ingredients. Cook more out of cookbooks to build a solid base for knowledge. I'd like to also go buy produce almost exclusively from the farmer's markets and co-ops. If not that, the asian grocery store or the mexican mercado. No groceries, no cans for me hopefully!

    2. Go to the gym 3-5 times per week and get a nice workout program going. Drink more protein shakes and get in the habit of coming out of the gym all sweaty from working out so well. Hopefully helps with energy levels too, as last year I've been lazy and low energy.

    3. Hopefully try to transition into my own small business/consulting gig in a more fulltime capacity. I want satisfaction with work, not lame shit. The main thing I want is freedom and flexibility.

    4. I'd like to go to see the Shroud of Turin this year. That's the big thing I'd like to do...its creeping up so may not be doable. In either case, I'd like to try to get to Europe some time this year. Less trips to Vegas, more road trips in California. I'd like to do a trip to New York as I haven't been there in like 7-8 years. Chicago too to visit family.

    5. Try to find some non-flakey, drama free women and quality women this year. Its LA, but we'll see what's up.

    6. I've actually been pretty good with this, but I'd like to continue drinking less and less. And the times I do drink, I'd like to drink higher quality alcohols (i.e. premium scotch and fine tequila)

yeah, i think that's the problem when you base most of your social life around drinking/bars/nightlife. you meet more shallow people. friend of mine is doing match.com and is actually doing quite well and better quality of women. don't know if I'll go there, but will explore other social venues more than I have been.

    1. Continue losing weight (I've dropped from 240 to 200 in the last 6 months-- I'm 6'). I'd like to get to around 185 again.
    2. Get more sleep. 5-6 hours a night is starting to take it's toll.
    3. Cut down on energy drinks

My wife and I have committed ourselves to a regular walking program again. When we lived in Atlanta, that was no problem. Here? A bit more motivation is required due to the elements. We'll do it, though.

Lose a stupid amount of weight.
Generate income from two new businesses this year. (Both are 3/4 of the way there.) Improve sales for my wife's business by 50%. (2009 finished up only about 15% over 2008.)
Spend less time with my extended family and more with the wife's. (Mine mostly sucks, and I'm at long last burned out on them.)

Somebody bump this in three months so we can all see where we are.

ABM... the first step out the door is the hardest. Even with the weather here it is still nice if you get out.

Seriously get some warm water proof clothes. As a native oregonian I pride myself on not needing an umbrella, but we all know hoodies (hooded sweatshirts) and winter coats are needed. Especially walking when your pulse doesn't get up very high.
