Re: Televisions: recommend one that is cheap and good. CES is this week, then football...i recall many crazy deals around this time...well see what's up. I'd like to just go into Sears and get the TV..maybe I'll hit up Southcoast as I have that gift card there.
Re: Televisions: recommend one that is cheap and good. oh yeah, saw a cool LED TV at costco (VIZIO) for like $300..might think about that for my bedroom. not sure yet, we'll see.
Re: Televisions: recommend one that is cheap and good. I got a 46'' Vizio for our bedroom and I'm happy with it. Picture probably isnt as good as the more expensive TV's, but its definitly good enough for me considering I only watch it for an hour or so before I crash for the night.
Re: Televisions: recommend one that is cheap and good. Get an LCD instead of a Plasma. Nobody's going to be making Plasmas pretty soon.

Re: Televisions: recommend one that is cheap and good. display models have hundreds if not thousands of hours on them and a bunch of idiots fucking with them
Re: Televisions: recommend one that is cheap and good. LG LCD tvs. They seem to get really high ratings (www.vanns.com) and when we compared the LG to a Sony the LG had a more natural coloring in the red spectrum compared to the Sony. We got our 36" LG HD (5 stars from vans) from http://www.videoonly.com/index.htm It was still $100 cheaper than Best buy for the same TV in 2007. The sales staff in Clackamus was very helpful. I would suggest that store as a comparison to tvs you are looking at. Don't forget to download videoonly's current pdf ad and compare.
Re: Televisions: recommend one that is cheap and good. Frys has a Toshiba 1080p, 240hz 42" LCD for $799 on Monday. Price match + 10% of difference to Sears comes out to about $750. Anyone have any opinions on this set? My fam is looking for an LCD as well. Link: http://newspaperads.mercurynews.com/ROP/ads.aspx?advid=32664&adid=8781826&subid=27971986&type=
Re: Televisions: recommend one that is cheap and good. I hate Frys. But the set and the price sound good.
Re: Televisions: recommend one that is cheap and good. I try to stay away from Fry's. Its like an Anti-costco to me. Poor customer service, and they stock the returns back on the floor!
Re: Televisions: recommend one that is cheap and good. My wife got banned from the Dollar Store for doing what she saw me do at Frys. We went there and spent a couple hundred bucks on stuff for Christmas, and then on the way out they herd you down the hallway like cattle and then want to search you on the way out. I fucking hate that and went off on the guy who wanted me to let him search my back and show him my receipt. I told him I'd just spent a couple hundred bucks at his store and didn't feel like being frisked on the way to my car, and walked on out. She liked that cause it pisses her off too. So she goes to the Dollar Store at Lloyd Center, and I've never heard of them doing this shit at Dollar Stores, but I guess they get a lot of shoplifters at that one. So she is on her way out, really only a few feet from the register and they want to go through her bag. She told them no, that they could fucking arrest her if they wanted and then they'd get a chance to talk to her lawyer. Then they told her to go ahead and leave but not come back. All her friends told her they would have shown the receipt....but she agrees with me, that its bullshit to treat a customer like a fucking thief.
Re: Televisions: recommend one that is cheap and good. I agree. The people who work at Fry's seem to have a little bit of an a-hole personality. I always feel like I'm being watched as if I'm going to jack something from there. Lame.
Re: Televisions: recommend one that is cheap and good. that's because they get treated like that by their supervisors and rightfully so sometimes. they get paid minimum wage +commision
Re: Televisions: recommend one that is cheap and good. I just bought a 42" Samsung plasma. $599.99 on sale at Best Buy. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung...359&skuId=9235259&st=samsung plazma&cp=1&lp=4
Re: Televisions: recommend one that is cheap and good. Sonys last forever! You pay more, but worth it. Has my 32 inch SDTV for 14 years. Won't die!
Re: Televisions: recommend one that is cheap and good. Could have bought "THE" 's old one for about $24.
Re: Televisions: recommend one that is cheap and good. That would have been $24 more then what I got!
