Do we want a second crack at the Rockets? We've beaten them 2 of 3 times this season. Or do we want the Spurs? We've owned them but they're a team with championship experience. Denver? It could happen. That would definitely scare me. How about Phoenix or Dallas? I think I'd pick Phoenix.

    What do you think?

I would LOVE the Lakers but I also want a top 4 seed and the Lakers probably won't finish in the bottom 4. If we fall into the bottom 5 though, I have no problem with us playing the Lakers.

The way figure, if, IF we're to beat the Lakers (incredibly tall order), our very best chance would be in Round 1. Phil, Kobe & Co. get stronger as the playoffs linger on.

Despite our ealier win, definitely not Dallas, IMO. They are a tough matchup for us.

Same with Denver; unless we have Batum, Trout, and Rudy at 100% health (and NO MORE MAJOR INJURIES), I can't see this team beating them in a 7 game series.

Houston seems pretty unlikely; I can't see them being higher than 6th, and I don't see us in third- although it is possible. We'd beat them, I think.

Spurs- If it were to shake out that way, I'd be happy. I think we match up well with them, and they are past their prime, despite their experience.

Phoenix-would be a tough series, I'd be surprised if we won, but I think we could take it to 6 or even 7.

But, heck- chances are we'll be down to 5 men at that point...:drumroll::sigh:

So I guess, suspending any logic as to where positions will fall or if the team can even sustain it's current level of play, I'd rank 'em this way(in order of most desirable/likely win to least desirable): 1.)Houston 2.)San Antonio 3.)Phoenix 4.)Dallas 5.)Denver 6.)Lake show (even though it'd be fun...we'd lose)

A lot depends on who has returned to the Blazers. But for the most part, with this killer season, I would be happy just making the 8th seed and playing whoever.

I'd hate Dallas or Phoenix. They would scare me. Houston just isn't the same team, and I think we'd be able to take them this year. And I'd love a shot at the Lakers.

man though... this upcoming week is brutal!

if we can beat the clips and Grizz somehow.... we should be in good shape once rudy and batum come back. however... we still need a trade for a shot blocker

No we don't. All we would get is some stiff that won't make the team next year.

I want to play whatever team you currently least want to play (aside from the Lakers). Whatever team that is, I believe it's going to be the best matchup for us when the playoffs come around.
