He's a little more than a supporting player. Zach Randolph was the first player since Kareem Abdul Jabbar (in the 70s) to score 65 points and grab 42 rebounds in a two game span.

The knock on Zach has been that his teams don't win but I believe that has nothing to do with Zach and everything to do with the help he has around him. After all the closest we've gotten to winning a playoff series in the last 9 years was with Zach in the starting lineup.

If the Grizzlies keep winning, Zach will be an All Star. And it's about time.

I believe Zach would be best served as a starter but not the star. A second or third option. He can score very well, but also tends to get blocked a lot or pushed into taking second rate shots. And his D is still terrible. Zach would be great alongside a real great defensive center and a strong willed star guard who could command respect as the leader from all the players including Zach. In many games, Zach would be the leading scorer, but that would not be option one. I have never disliked Zach like many of the others, I just felt that he was asked to be a superstar when that is not in his grasp. He does not have the personality or defensive fundamentals/athleticism to ever reach that tier.

That's what Randolph has. A defensive center in Gasol. Rudy Gay averages 20.8 to ZBo's 20.2. He also has more offensive help in Mayo. This team is stacked. If they beef up their bench in the next couple seasons, they will be a top team in the West.

I actually agree. I am not very confident in either Mayo or Gay however. I think they both lack that superstar quality. Gasol losing all that weight over the summer has really done amazing things for him, but the rest of the team is still terrible on D. Gay has the power to be a very good defender with his length and athleticism, but he just does not seem to put it all together. Mayo seems to not care about D. It's not just a bench they need, they need to find a coach that can inspire them to focus on D. Their offensive abilities are innate.

Grizzlies are 25-19 and have less losses than us. Zach has never been the problem.

Zach Randolph is the best player in the NBA. Sorry, it's the truth.

How many games do u think the Grizz lose the rest of the year? Lookin at their schedule and considering they have Zach, I'm thinkin....4? Maybe 5 if they rest the starters after securing home court throughout the playoffs.

It could happen but I'm gonna say 12. I think they finish 51- 31 with the 4 seed as they venture to win their first playoff game in the history of the franchise. I believe they are 0-8.

As for us, it looks like we could be the team that ends up with the Lakers in the first round. Can you imagine how fun that would be?? Especially if everyone stays healthy and Greg comes back?

Ya I was pretty much kidding but only half way, cause the Grizz are lookin scary. That Gasol deal doesn't look so bad now. You're right about the playoffs, they haven't ever won a game! Classic. Obviously I would love to see the Lakers in the 1st round, but I think we might sneak into that 5 seed. We'll see

I seen on PTI I think that the Grizzlies have the same record as the Lakers in the last 25 games. They've played excellent since they traded Iverson.

The Grizzlies are 24-11 since waiving Iverson. They are for real. All the Z-Bo haters can suck it. He's an All Star and Aldridge isn't.
