Yes it is. Yes, the defense lost two of its best players, DBs sucked but you don't even think about touching LeBeau, the best D coordinator in the league. Lack of a running game is a large reason, Mendy should have been a larger part of the offense also his offense can't convert 3rd downs consistently and is awful in the redzone, which goes back to the lack of a running game. Steeler O is the best when Ben calls the game.
If LeBeau is the best in the league, he should've been able to adjust to being without a few top players. The failures this year rely mostly on the defense. Big Ben put up enough offense to keep you guys respectable, but the defense let you down.
Because they were on the field a lot because the O can't run the ball, the fact Mendy got 1000 is amazing for how bad the O-Line was minus Chris K. Plus Williams Gay can't cover, and the back-ups are rookies, Deshea is a nickel back. It's not on the full D, it's on the DBs, the OLBs were great and the D-Line was great. There is a reason Hampton and Harrison are a pro bowlers. When 3rd and 1 comes up, Steelers go empty set, what the fuck.
He can run good plays at times but he has an awful feel for the game, a WR pass after an INT is the worst call I've seen this year minus the Redskins
Looks like you were premature, too. You're overreacting. There won't be any decisions made any time soon. It was one bad season. I bet Arians will be back.
He's been bad all three years, people wanted him fired after year one, year two and now after year three. It's not just me Also, Bruce was the OC in Cleveland when we played them in a Wild Card game and they had a big lead going into the 4th and what happened. We Won. If he's gonna stay, he needs to signa legit FB and run it down peoples throat and use more play action.
I will give him this though, he did learn who our best O-Lineman was and used him as much as we could, until he got hurt.
It was, but it's not so much the yardage as the times we ran it that is the problem. It was too iffy, Bruce passed a lot on 1st and 2nd down and by then, nothing. Or, two runs of 5 and 4, and then empty set.
