    No, I think they meant 26,000 F. The sun is 11,000 F, and these objects are said to be hotter than their nearby stars.

    Unmanned probes like this telescope cost way less than 1% of the stupid manned moon colony, on which we waste a couple of billion dollars annually. The shuttle's last flight is 9 months from now. It's being killed so we can go back to ocean-landing capsules, more primitive than the 40-year-old Soyuz, which has a toilet and retrorockets to land on the ground, more advanced than Apollo.

    We're spending a couple of hundred billion dollars to go backward. Space telescopes like this one are the way to go.

    It's back to holding a baggie to your rear end. Before Shuttle, the crew was all men, s(h)itting next to each other shoulder to shoulder. But the luxurious Shuttle got the U.S. accustomed to mixed gender crews, enabled mainly by the toilet in a separate room. I guess that in the Orion capsule, they'll have a plastic curtain they can roll between the men and women. They'll still smell and hear it.

    Maybe they'll be distracted by the delectable dehydrated food in the other baggies, doused with Tang.
