pg: nelson sg: vince sf: pietrus pf: lewis c: howard key reserves: redick (who's been killing us), barnes, ryan anderson, jason williams, anthony johnson raptors pg: jack sg: derozan sf: turk (expected back tonight) pf: bosh c: bargnani sixth man: caledron (expected back in limited minutes) notes: orlando coming off an embarrassing loss in indiana where all their stars played dreadful games. interestingly, triano has finally come around to the idea of protecting the three point arc and allowing dwight to do his damage- cause two points is less than three. prediction: raps win 104-101 and the game thread girl...
the magic look tired and disinterested, in fact, they seem to embody the qualities of vince carter. although, im confident the raps will find some way to implode in the second half. bargnani's defense has been awesome of late. first on timmy d and now he's slowing dwight howard.
Ya this scares me, we are playing well, but we'll find a way to lose. This isn't even negativity, it's just common place for the Raptors.
playing jack and caledron together almost cost us the game. these two simply cannot coexist on the floor together. we realize that but coach triano hasnt caught on yet. and why caledron after missing a month, and only having one practice gets these big minutes is puzzling. he isnt steve nash, he's caledron and as such- his minutes should increase incrementally. the raps won in spite of triano as far as im concerned.
I hate it when Triano plays Jack and Calderon together, neither players have the required skills to play off each other, its not like Calderon or Jack possess 2 guard abilities or something. I didn't watch the game though so not much else to say except that the Magic bench was terrible outside of JJ Reddick, who lit the raps up for another 20 piece.
Pretty funny watching Jose guard JJ in the fourth quarter... he ducks behind three screens in a row for open looks to JJ... then when he finally fights through one he gets called for a foul.
