This thread is about all music that comes out in 2010 and we can discuss albums and shit here, cause it needs an upgrade.

I just listened to Vampire Weekend's new album and it's okay.

    Looking forward to Relapse II.

Hoping RHCP can put something out by the end of the year.

As far as albums go, I really have no idea what to really expect this year. A lot of my favorite bands released albums over the last couple years, but we'll see what happens this year. I'd love for Staind to release a new album, or for Aaron Lewis' solo album to finally come, but we shall see. I'm also anxious to see what Kings of Leon have up their sleeves after how successful "Only By The Night" was.

Staind won't drop this year. They usually take 3-4 years between releases, don't they?

Yeah, Aaron Lewis will be putting out a solo CD this year.

I hope KOL get back to their roots. I loved OBTN, but it was pretty damn poppy compared to some of their older stuff minus a few tracks.

First album I pick up is probably going to be Ringo Starr's "Y Not".

The album comes out in a week I think. The first single is a duet with Paul McCartney.

Eminem - Relapse 2 is the only other real album I'm excited for.

Everything else is more of a...maybe so and so artist will release an album this year. Fountains of Wayne, Social Distortion, the Fugees, Wyclef, Kanye, Kid Cudi, and Panic at the Disco! all could have new albums out this year, but at the same time maybe not.

Could be a very bland year in music, although of course there will be some good new artists.

The only album I can think of is Lupe Fiasco's Lasers that should be released real soon.

Dillinger is releasing a new album, same with Deftones. Those two should be amazing.

    Nah, it's usually 2 years.

    Tormented (1996)
    Dysfunction (1999)
    BTS (2001)
    14 SOG (2003)
    Chapter V (2005)
    Illusion (2008)

So, generally, it's 2 years. However, with Aaron doing his solo gig, it could hamper a new album, but who knows. Regardless, if they release a new album, I hope they go back towards their BTS sound - Illusion, while good, was a step back for the band and their worst album since Tormented.

I think V was worse than Illusions.

I must certainly disagree here. There were times when I actually considered that their best album (before switching my opinion back to 14SOG). I liked Illusion, but to me, it just wasn't up to par.
