How many NFL teams are owned by one the richest men in the world who has a life threatening disease? Money is the luxury, time is not. Not that I really care, I'm a Cowboys fan. I'm just surprised that they didn't dump him a little sooner.
Nevermind. Stupid LA Times. Looks like Leiweke went to interview Carroll last week, got a positive vibe, so he fired Mora (with 12M left on his contract)
Thank goodness, Mora suck a hard one! The dude couldn't coach a secondary, why the hell would you promote him to coach your team.
Damn rumors have it Riley is going to be targeted by USC..I doubt he leaves but it would blow if he did
wow.. I know Riley said OSU is his DREAM job.. but that would be a hard one to pass up. Its as close a thing to getting in NFL job without actually competing against the NFL.
wow, where are the Riley rumors coming from? I wouldn't mind getting him. Would love to see what he could do with USC's talent.
Patriots and Jets he was 33-31, with 2 playoff appearances. Worst he ever did was 6-10. We went 5-11 last year.
All you had to do was read the statements being made by various players on that team to realize that he didn't seem to have their backing. I'm not a Seattle fan, but after watching the embarrassing effort they gave against my Packers two weeks ago I can't say I'm shocked that he got the boot.
I remember when he coached the Falcons, he was a buddy-buddy type of coach, which, eventually, caused cliques, then animosities with/between certain players. He wasn't too mature and/or professional, IMO. He then screwed up on a local radio show, indicating (he claimed, jokingly) that his "dream job" was to coach the Washington Huskies. Nonetheless, that was his eventual undoing as the Falcons' coach. I never kept up with him at Seattle.
