I hope this doesn't happen. I dunno if this Raptors turnaround is gonna change Bosh's mind. I wouldnt even trade Bargnani for Bynum.

Bynum is a beast, hands down... but he is way too inconsisntent and the lakers need to sort of "baby" him... he needs to literally be the Center of attention to be able to produce.

The only thing i wouldn't like about this trade is we will be smaller and weaker on D. Especially against big guys like Dwight, Perkins and Shaq (if the make the finals LOL, i just have a feeling that shaq will explode in the conf. finals or finals... not sure)

Shaq is gonna explode. Not like L.A. but, its a real problem when you gotta stop Lebron, Shaq, and shooters. Yes Bosh is weaker than Bynum, but Bosh is committed to putting on even more weight next offseason. Bosh is the best PF (offensive) in the L. Dirk is a close second but doesn't have Bosh's post game. Lakers would win for sure if they added Bosh.

Obviously Dirk is a better perimeter player. But in the paint Bosh is way better.

I'd say there's more offensive value in a guy who can stretch defenses and open up the court for his teammates.

Dirk's shooting and versatility creates so many great looks for his teammates, indirectly.

First of all, it's the NY Post. Look who wrote it.

Second of all, Bynum is BYC. It's gonna be hard to make salaries match even if they agreed to a trade.

That being said, it's not happening.

Mitch should be looking for ways to upgrade at PG and improve the bench. If we swap Drew with Bosh we still end up with the same problems, same weaknesses.

They wouldn't trade Bynum. Gasol and Bosh are pretty close, but I would rather have Bosh of course. I wouldn't make this trade, I would rather be committed to keeping Bosh and getting better players around him.

This might not make others happy, but I'm actually getting tired of Bynum's primadonna-ness (not a word). He only plays well when he is the center of attention, and that won't work on a star studded team. He doesn't go for rebounds often, doesn't really box out, and even if he does he just reaches his arms out and not jump. He doesn't block shots that are basically there for the swatting.

Me too. I hope he snaps out of it. He is capable of so much more, he should be dominating.

This explains Drew's dominating performance tonight.

He probably heard about this. His ass doesn't want to go to Toronto. lol

    No.

People just don't understand that Bynum is 22. 5 years away from entering his prime probably. The kid isn't going anywhere, Jim Buss loves him too much. (thank God).

here's what i think- i dont trust bynum's knees and with the recent spate of injuries to large plodding big men like oden, yao and bynum's own well documented history of injuries- i would be hesitant to pull that trade off but there is too much talent to not consider it. although, from a raptor perspective- i think houston offers the better package with expiring contracts and young talent (i.e. carl landry) and the possibility to unload hedo as well in any package.

I think Peter Vescey is a member of S2. LOL. We had a huge discussion about this in the Raptor forum a few weeks back.

Injuries are part of the mix when you're talking about these oversized lugs. Bosh doesn't move anywhere close to like he did when he was a rook. He used to glide up the court, now he runs like he's got wooden legs.

They were discussing this on the radio yesterday. Apparently this trade would work under current cap rules and despite Bynum being a BYC player.

Bynum + Farmar + Morrison for Bosh

The Lakers also have two trade exceptions contracts and could pull off two seperate deals with Toronto.

    Radman's Exception - $1.89M for Antoine Wright $1.8M
    Mihm's Exception - $2.5M for Rasho Nesterovic $2M

The Lakers roster would be ...

    PG - Fisher / Brown
    SG - Kobe / Sasha / Wright
    SF - Artest / Walton
    PF - Bosh / Odom / Powell
    C - Gasol / Mbenga / Rasho
