Whether I would or wouldn't is kind of irrelevant. Since LMA has been given his extension by the Blazers, he's pretty much untradeable this year due to the "poison pill provision". From the NBA CBA FAQ page:
yes i would.... 100 times. and why the fuck isnt pritchard going after jamison or murphy? ummmm exactly what we need this year and next. hes so bad whens he not in the lotto. so bad and no vision.
So let's assume Greg comes back and is able to play and stays somewhat healthy ... where exactly do these two guys (Al and Greg) fit together on the offensive end of the court?
Mchale was capable of playing in the high post, something that neither of Greg or Al are all that well suited to.
The only term I had ever heard of linked to McHale was Black Hole. Oops, same one attributed to Jefferson.
And? It doesn't mean that Big is untalented, I just think he and Greg would be getting in each other's way ... at the very least Greg would be getting in the way of the more offensively talented Jefferson. I'm not saying you couldn't do it, it would just be awfully risky.
All I was saying was that Parish and McHale somehow successfully occupied the same space. Doesn't matter, though. We ain't gettin' Jefferson. I just like yanking MIXUM's chain.
Al Jefferson is a great talent in the low post. However, he plays no defense and can't seem to stay healthy. I would stick with LMA.
There are a few other terms floating around abut K-Mac 3 Time NBA Chamption 7 Time All Star 6 Time NBA All Defensive Team 1 Time NBA Defensive Player of the Year Hall Of Fame Inductee One of NBA's 50 Greatest Players (selected by NBA for 50th Anniversary) But yeah . . . Danny Ainge famously called McHale the Black Hole. Is that a bad thing when you shoot 55-60%??
Add: -Failed to build a legit team around one of the greatest PFs ever to play the game. -Traded Brandon Roy for Randy Foye + $1 mil cash.
