is it people or facts that you are annoyed by?

11.4 career PER, 12.2 this year PER... Average NBA starter 15.0 PER
he was at his career PER average again this year just last week... don't blink
your melodramatics are pretty over the top... everyone is rooting for the kid. Some posters aren't willing to put the cart before the horse especially after giving MW ample time to prove himself. Lets see how the rest of the season shakes out before claiming he has turned a page

One bad game, and the game isn't even over, and already back to normal posts.

Martell's awesome D couldn't have been on LeBron as he tore up the Blazers going 13-19 for 41 points... he must have somehow still been guarding Kobe who went 4-21

Nope, he was guarding LBJ. And did a decent job of it--especially in the second half. In the first they seemed not to know how to either defend the P&R or not know that he runs pretty fast down the court for layups.

And as someone said...not once was he laid on his back when he drove. Whaddaya gonna do when a guy's on fire?

are you joking? Dude was torched on national tele. 41 points, 13-19, nearly a triple double... in the 2nd half they came with the automatic double team and James racked up the assists while on the other end MW clanged away throughout the game.

There was nothing decent about his performance tonight

We'll agree to disagree on this one. It's going to be tough to argue rationally with incorrect generalizations.

I think he probably tried to defend him the same way he defended Kobe. But the two are very different players.

Martell physically can't defend LeBron. He's not as long, strong, quick, fast or athletic. In fact, when James is as focused as he was last night, I wonder who can defend him?

Webs has had some nice games. They've coincided with him not having to look over his shoulder. In other words, when you remove Martell's head from his game, he's a fine player.

MGB, You posting from the game? I know you kept your tickets for this one. Where are your usual pics from the game?
